The Sims Bustin' Out | 4.1 0 comments |
by AINZY from Pembrokeshire, Dyfed, Wales and proud | Feb 23, 2006 |
After the sucess of the PC Sims games EA wanted to put it on PS2. The first installment was 'The Sims' and now another game was realesed, 'The Sims Bustin' Out.'
The Game is still based around the main feature, Bust out mode where you can create a new character and play as them as you then get a job, move out, do goals for certain people until you complete the game. It is very good as it can eaisily become addictive and also it isn't almost impossible to complete.
But, after you have done a little bit of Bust out mode, it will unlock free play. Here, you can create a family and play as them going through everyday jobs and so on. What is a little dissapointing however is that you cannot visit anywhere else in free play mode like in Bust out mode. You are confined to your house.
What I have always loved about this game is the fact that 2 player is as fun as ever! Bring a mate round and you can both create characters and play as them. It is especially fun organizing a party. Just phone 1 number and lots of people will be coming to your house for a rave - up! So in my opinon, 2 player is a vital part to why I love this game!
It is definatly worth buying now as it will be very cheap and you will love it if you are a Sims fan! It is still good for people who have never played any Sims games as well as it is quite easy and very fun to play!

THE GOOD: I love this game. It's very addicting. I love the levels it has as sims for PC didn't. It was just free play. I love the idea of it being somewhat challenging. I also like that you don't really have to be too good. There are sexy kisses, playing in bed, spanking someones booty, which makes it fun =D. There are good outfits. In Sims for PC the outfits were plain and boring. I love this game. I think a little too much!! Be careful when you start playing it, it's VERY addicting!!! I can live the life I want that i can't live in real life!!!!!!THE BAD: There are a few glitches, and some goals are hard to understand, so THANK GOD FOR FORUM!!! One thing I wish there were, is being able to own pets, like dogs or cats. that would be fun. SUMMARY: Geez... Sorry this is so freakishly long but it's making me make it 750 charaters!!!!! |

THE GOOD: The sims has a lot more places to go to like Mimis place And Dudleys Trailer. The storyline is very good and long. The create a sim is very good with the amazing graphics and trillions of customizing options. The jobs are very good and there are lots of them like Mad Scientist and Fashion Designer. The houses all have their own goals like when you got promoted three times 1 goal is to get married and have a baby and make that babyt grow up.THE BAD: The Goals Are Quite Hard To Unlock Because I Had To Get A FAQ To Work Them Out. There are so many items to unlock it gets very annoing when you can't unlock them.I haven't unlocked them all yet there are trillions to unlock.
SUMMARY: A great all rounder when you play it for a while you get very addicted to it. It is a very good game in nearly all catgetories. If you have a console like a PS2, Gamecube, Xbox and gameboy you can get it. |

THE GOOD: Graphics i have to say have improved !
The Careers have become much more fun to work with.
New objects !
Characters !
Social Options !
THE BAD: Your patience during loading !
Not able to visit any locations in Free Play Mode.
Voices got on my nurves.
SUMMARY: I have to say the game was pretty good over all and does get adictive for a period of time ! The storylines of the game kept me glued to the BUST OUT mode just to see what happens next to my sim.
The option to ride in vehicles to different locations i thought was brillant , from going to your girlfriends/boyfriends house to going to a Night club or Work . The social options were cool from which you could do french kissing to cursing at another sim which for me made me love this game even more!

Over all buying this game was a good option and all i really can say is this KICKS MAJOR ASS |

THE GOOD: -All new engine with cars and new locations to check out -A robot which you control replaces Major Domo from The Sims. -New Careers to choose from. like mad scientist and fashion victim THE BAD: Takes alot of time to get all the items unlocked SUMMARY: A good game for people who have got alot of time to blow. There are many new characters to meet and at the start of each house Malcom comes round and steals the 2 best things |

THE GOOD: -Graphics are better than ever before! -The storyline is fantastic -New furniture, outfits, etc. available -EVERYTHING IS GREAT ABOUT THIS GAME!THE BAD: -You definitely need patience for this game, just as in any other Sims game. SUMMARY: I received this game as a gift a few months ago. I am in love with this game and, even though I have already beaten it, I love to play it over and over again. It's just as addictive as any of the Sims games before. The storyline in this game is superb and whoever came up with it deserves a standing ovation. One of the coolest and funnest parts of this game is the vehicles! You can have anything from a scooter to a limosine with a hot tub. I also love the mini-movies that play everytime you finish a career. This is my all-time favorite game throughout my 14 years of living! |

Better than the PC? How? | 4.6 0 comments |
by Super_Cholo from Beneath, , USA/Mexico | Feb 8, 2004 |
THE GOOD: More objects, superb graphics, hairstyles, faces, ability to travel to places, branching story lines, online play(and it's free!)THE BAD: slow down, no travel in free mode SUMMARY: Never thought I'd see a Sims game on a platform...especially one this good.
It's just as addictive as the original PC versions...and yet just as much fun.
I haven't found much to dissuade me from this game but there were a few things. The graphics are just awesome, but the camera angels and the windows that never go away get annoting. They get in the way a lot of the time, making painting the walls and stuff a pain. After playing the PC Sims for so long it was a bit unusual with the controls but you get used to them.
The music is a nice touch with none of that old Sims music playing, sure the tv plays the same old thing but what can you do. It's still addictive.
The one major problem I've seen is the slow down periodically throughout the game. You'll be playing and having fun and all of the sudden it looks like the game has stopped. It's not too bad of a lag but it's annoying none the less.
The story line is amusing, having to fulfill certain requirements before going to a new location. At times they get annoying but they aren't that bad. It's a big change from the original "do whatever the hell you want" versions.
One of the the other things I found wrong was the online ability. While there is nothing wrong with it in itself, the people get annoying and bad tempered. I tried going online a few times but those people would just tell me to get out and call me a f'n noob. To top it off a few of them invite you to visit then pause their game. In the online feature this means you can't do anything until they unpause...which they never do.
In total worth the money you have to spend on it. It's incredibly addictive and just plain fun overall. The size it takes on the memory card sucks but it's still not that bad. |

The Best Game I Have Tried | 4.7 0 comments |
by Baseball Harry from Greenwood, VA, United States | Jan 28, 2004 |
THE GOOD: A whole lot of new objects, social options, and clothes, hairs or hats. The option to use cars and be able to visit places and have specific goals.THE BAD: It doesn't have second stories, and no pets (except the aquarium). SUMMARY: This is the best game I have played. A huge improvement of the computer game. Yeah, it isn't very clear on some of the goals of how to do them, but that just adds to the hardness of the game. It stinks though not having second stories. The houses look so boring sometimes. Also I thought that since it is a improvement and that they had The Sims Unleashed as an expansion pack on computer that they would have it here too. The cars are a great addition though. Being able to visit other people at their homes is a lot easier way to make friends than inviting them over because they're always there. This the best game and I highly advise it to people who like simulation games. |

Very Good | 4.5 0 comments |
by NegativeZero from L-Town, , | Jan 5, 2004 |
THE GOOD: Many more social options, items, and locations than the first oneTHE BAD: Gets a little jerky on older PS2's....especially at parties...no vehicles in Free Play mode. Also this game takes up alot of space on your memory card! 1,000+ KB! SUMMARY: This game is a vast improvement from the first The Sims. It offers many more social options such as "pull my finger", "sign language" and "Burp in Face". There was also a branching storyline which added a very high replay value to the game. there are also vehicles you can unlock and go to different locations with. there are many vehicles depending on which goals you complete and which houses you move into. it has a very expansive selection of items and features for your house and sim. This game is well worth the money. |
