THE GOOD: Appearence
THE BAD: Sound (Both Music & Effects)
Ideas (nothing ground breaking)
SUMMARY: OK, so i'm 3 or 4 years too late, but it doesn't mean the game should be a dead topic.
Let's face it, Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder isn't exactly revolutionary - most of us have seen it all before on THPS3 (PS2 Version), so there's nothing ground breaking, which immediately effects the game's sales and a majority of user opinions.
In this game however, there are some of the most defined graphics that can be found on sports game on the PS2 (arguably not as time goes on). Not only are there great objectives and varied, colourful and well laid out levels, but professional, well known snowboarders and plenty of good songs. There are also many gaps to keep the gameplay lasting for an eternity. The levels on this game are fun to explore, and that's the beauty of this game.
The sound effects however are standard and the music is assumed to b...
THE GOOD: Descent graphics, good snowboarders, long levels, cool tricks....
THE BAD: Very hard to pull off tricks, stupid objectives.....
SUMMARY: I thought this game was ok. It has its ups and downs as I mentioned above. They had long, creative levels but the levels were very repetitive and very similar to the level before. They also had ridiculously stupid objectives. For example, one of the objectives is to know over 10 trash cans in under a minute. Just stupid things like that make this game a no buy.
THE GOOD: So much to do in one course. Challanging gameplay. VERY pretty graphics. The revert move is great!
THE BAD: Too many goals per stage, you can't really search for signs and things like that when you are always going downhill! Your boarder is sometimes hard to control, if you haven't already beaten the game and have your stats maxed out.
SUMMARY: It is a GREAT snowboarding game. The only Snowboarding game I would choose over this is Cool Boarders 2001. But that is starting to change! If you are looking for a little bit of realism combined with insane stunts and combos, this is your game.
