THE BAD:
A bit repetitive and you feel like you are outnumbered sometimes.
SUMMARY:
This game was disappointing to what i had expected of it but maybe that is because I expected too much. The game doesn't really have any unique traits to it as it is your basic adventure/shoot'em up game.
You can feel like you are outnumbered at times and this can get really annoying when you have 20 guys all trying to kill you.
Though if you like this type of game then I would say get it but otherwise if you are more of a Jet Li fan like me then I would stick to watching him in movies.
The STORY to what I have gathered is about Kit Yun (Jet) an undercover cop who had infiltrated a Hong Kong gang and had become attatched to the leader. He dies early in the game and leaves you a letter that you must deliver. The new head of the gang is hunting you down to find out what was in...
THE BAD:
The controls are so unbalivible anoying yes it was a good idea and no ur thumbs get to tierd and grr just.
SUMMARY:
THE BAD: the controls are kinda cool but they suck cuz its just rediculus, also u can only counter when the enemy attacks u and ur in the position, lets say the "bad" guy is doing some combo on you, your screwd you can block or dodge while there attacking wich is stupid, or if your grabed you cant get out of it, but they can. also some tiemst he camra sucks and u cant see some stuff. but other then that its a prity cool game O and like there are alot of moves but its very repetitive unles u can land 6 in a row and keep going to do some specials other wise the first 5 are pritty much the same, the shooting is stupid but u realy wont like the controls. i give this game a 1 sorry i lvoe jet li and all but god he should make better...
THE BAD:
then you realize how bad the control really are.
SUMMARY:
I was stoked and totally enjoyed this game for the first two hours, then my fight with Billy Soon nearly cost me a controller. After that the game declines in fun, and the controls get even more useless. Dont get me wrong, it was good, but damn! Whut happened?
I was enjoying whupping serious ass when all of a sudden block doesnt work and I am thrown into the wall only to be sucker punched in the back of the head? This game was cool for the first half....
I hope the developers learned something from this game, and that the next Jet Li or game like this makes me forget about all the vulgar, nasty things I yelled at Jet. So 1.9 is the score, cause it gets ridiculously hard making it less fun and more like one of Insane Clown Posse's songs, "Fu<k The World." Cause...
THE BAD:
Crushing difficulty curve
SUMMARY:
Rise to Honor infuses the classic beat-em-up formula with cinematic flair. Kit(aka Hong Kong legend Jet Li) Yun's kung fu is so seamless it seems choreographed. Take, for instance, your typical restaraunt ruckus--you know, the one where the cleaver-wielding chef chases crooks from his kitchen. Parry blows with whatever's at hand--that Peking duck should do nicely--then flip a goon onto the hot grill. Clever controls make ass kicking as easy as it is elegant (simply shove the right analog stick in the direction you want to attack), and counters keep you from feeling like you're on the martial arts treadmill--at least for a while.
It's no that there aren't other things to do:Scripted action sequences and sloppy but fun shootouts punctuate the fistfights. The former are adrenaline-fueled affairs that have Kit playing...
THE BAD:
- Combos can be repetitive later in the game
- Some of the stealth levels are pretty hard.
SUMMARY:
Playstation Magazine bashed the crap out of this game, and for that, I hope someone sets them on fire! This is one of the best third-person fighting games I have ever played. (And i'm not just saying that because i'm the biggest Jet Li fan in the world!) The graphics are top notch, making it feel almost like a martial arts movie. The fighting controls are incredibly easy as all the fighting moves are done by merely tapping the right analog stick toward the enemy, making it easy to take on multiple opponents. Some of the bigger nitpickers would complain...
