THE GOOD: -Multiple Routes and Great special manouevers which can end in victory or defeatTHE BAD: -Very Short and Bad Graphics but is worth a maximum of £25 SUMMARY: This game is not suitible for younger Children because they will get bored of it so fast that they'll end up bugging people for more money for a new game very fast |

THE GOOD: Cool multiple endings, addictive gameplay, cool cut-scenes, and descent storyline...THE BAD: Terrible graphics, and bad voice acting... SUMMARY: I found this to be an ok game. I love puzzle games and this one remains withing my top 10. I had a lot of fun beating this game. It has numerous ways to end the game and you'll always find yourself going back to beat it again and again.
Overall Outcome: Buy It! |

THE GOOD: -Multiple paths and endings -Excellent graphics which can still be considered as such today
THE BAD: -Quite short although this depends on how much the player puts into it. SUMMARY: I paid only £20 for this title and yet I would have willingly put down £40 for it. Those who have said to rent the game do not look at how much the game has to offer, although I can agree it can be very short depending on how much you want to put in.
Much better than the sequel, much more interaction believe it or not, some people do not like the lack of interaction in this game, I thought that it was fine.
Detailed historical context and an enveloping storyline based on the true events which lead to the Tokugawa Shogunate and the Edo Period. Some parts of the game sparked emotion within me, including the musical score, the music would change depending on who was winning or losing the battle, it can hype you up, it an also sadden you as you send your officers off to their inevitable death with that music in the background giving you a sense of utter hopelessness as you fight off a seemingly unstoppable enemy. After playing the game I was pushed to study the Edo period, the game was very interesting and most importantly it was fun to play, I have had it for 5 days so far and I am not bored as of yet, nor have I completed all that there is to complete.
Since I'm moving to re-playability I would like to state that there are many paths through the game, of course there is one path that follow the historical context which is good, but depending on the outcome of battles you can in a sense change history, I think they made a good effort of predicting what could have happened if the circumstances were different. Multiple paths prove that there IS re-play value unlike what others have said. One more thing, 5 difficulty levels when you finish the game twice, so don't complain about it being to easy, it can require strategic thinking and much concentration at some of the harder stages.
It seems I'm a minority here, and that is a shame....
I could have ranted on for so much longer as well....

THE GOOD: Interesting story, good graphics, and nice in depth battling.THE BAD: Too slow, part 2 is better, and Dynasty Warriors is much better. SUMMARY: Well this game is intereting the first day and requires a good sence of strategy. After that tee snot much replay value. I suggest renting it or gettng part 2. I enjoyed it but it wasn't worth money I payed. I recommend this game as a rental. |

THE GOOD: Just Being Able To Slaughter Enemy Armies Is Good Enough.
THE BAD: Graphics to bland (boring). Characters could have been more developed. More levels needed. One-liners speech gets very boring.
SUMMARY: This game is only for rentals. If you are going to buy it. It sells only for $15.00. $15.00 in my near-by game store. Just rent this - its specific use is to past time. (When bored) I am totally destroying this game's reputation. |

THE GOOD: Graphics are great. Absolutely fantastic.THE BAD: You don't do an actual alot amount of playing. All you do is watch. SUMMARY: You move soldiers. You choose orders and thats about it. You make the right choices, you win the game. Don't buy. Maybe rent. |

THE GOOD: The graphics were spectacular. You got to hear both sides of the story.THE BAD: It was realitively easy, which makes it good for beginning gamers like me. SUMMARY: You play as the east, then after you beat it, you play as the west. Buy this game and any sequal that comes out, they graphics will only get better and the landscape will be better. |

THE BAD: Not long enoughSUMMARY: An excellent game which left me wanting alot more. The graphics and in game cinematics where some of the very best i've seen, but the biggest let down was the shortness and ease of the game which has left me a little disapointed. Even though i am disapointed with the length of the game i still rate it very highly.
