Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

THE BAD:
Fighting can be frustrating at times

SUMMARY:
This is what all puzzle/action adventure games should follow. I've played through this game several times, and the fun is always there. The sense of non-stop action lasts throughout the whole game, but its quick pacedness( is that a word?) can leave gamers wanting a bit more when it's all over (6 hours). Gameplay is definately its strong point. The gameplay, minus some excruciatingly hard fight scenes at times, is flawless and an absolute marvel. The combination of traps and puzzles work perfectly together. Crumbling floors and saw blades coming out of walls will leave many of you holding your breath. You can tell that a lot of time and precious thinking went into making this game. There's really no other game out there like this. Give it a try, it will be well worth it.

SUMMARY:
It's great to have an original game here on the PS2, this will break away from some of those other games on the PS2. Once you first start this game you will be amazed at the graphics in the cut scenes, they have really brought the game to life. The game is set in Persia when it was a thriving place full of action, the perfect place to put an action game.

Though this game doesn't deliver a lot of action, the action it does deliver you will be quite pleased with, it is quite intense and you will need to focus. Well the game play is based around you jumping to the next area basically, though it is quite difficult, there are many challenges that await you, even booby traps and they'll get you if you are not concentrating, you really need to concentrate in this game to make...

THE BAD:
Time just flys by when your playing. The story isnt quite as gripping as you might have hopped.

SUMMARY:
Prince of persia: the sands of time has an original story line that you may find generally quite tiresome after some while, but never fear! The graphics and gameplay totally blow you away.
POP involves a different asortment of puzzles during gameplay. Completeing these puzzles will allow you to move on in the story.
The graphics are acctually quite amazing. 9.5/10.
The sound is very well done. Thats all i can really say. brilliant.
If you like fighting enemys with cool moves then this is a game for you. backfliping over enemys then poking them with a long pointy sword is one of the many moves that you can do.
Gameplay moves are also essential, like running along walls to reach dificult places.

The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time game is excellent. When i decided to buy it i refered to the adverts which looked exelent. i brought it and was amazed that it was better than in the ads. Also i played a playable demo which came with OFFICIAL PLAYSTATION 2 MAGAZINE UK which is the only mag with playable demos.

GRAPHICS : 5.0 : Brilliant in every way.
SOUND : 5.0 : lovely blendof asian music
GAMEPLAY : 4.7 : lovely combat and acrobatic moves. pity about the camera.
LIFE SPAN: 4.8 : A bit short but bloody tricky.




OVERALL : Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is an ecxellent game and well worth £40.

WEAK ENDING, TOO EASY, BORING, REPETITIVE.

For anyone thinking of buying this game...GO AHEAD I DARE YOU TO SHELL OUT $50!!! First of all, dont get me wrong...the graphics in this game is very impressive. That is all that is seems to have going for itself. This game was hyped up by all the gamer mags out there. The graphics are great...all games should follow suit when it comes to that. But for gameplay...the puzzles are fun...but get tiring after a while...okay so you jump from wall to wall...wall walk...flip...etc. WHOOPEE....and the melee fighting is awful...no DREADFUL...you have like 4 moves..over and over...so you can slow time or stop time...so what? It doesnt help. All they needed to do was add more action...a variety of enemies instead of the same fools over and over....the bats are really stupid.There is no skill needed to battle the enemies.Only brain power when is...
