Onimusha 3: Demon Siege

THE BAD:
Only problem i had were getting ultimate weapons so late in the game, trying to absorb souls while being attacked, and the level gauge of weapons goes so slow, but no biggy

SUMMARY:
This game is action packed from beggining to end. The opening cinema is intense, and then some. I also love pulling off criticals on about 50 monsters, and cutting them all into pieces. The weapons you acquire in this game are awesome as well, all containing their own characteristics, suck as containing different elements such as wind, lightning, water, etc... and they also possess more speed, strength, or magical abilities than the other, although i did stick with the kengo for samonosuke through most of the game, because i prefer speed. But there's some pretty tough battles at times on this game. And the last boss takes a LONG time to beat, but i won't spoil...

THE BAD:
I hate to see the whole thing end. The english actors arent the same from the first anymore, and Jean Reno only does his french dialog.

SUMMARY:
This game is in the category as one of the greatest series ever created. The opening cut scene is bananas, the damn thing looks so real.

This game has alil bit of everything for everyone, comedy, drama, demons, and alot of action. Its deffinatly one of the games of the year.

The game play is straight forward, and fast though there are some parts in the game that are REALLY tough, but not impossible. Plus there are Alot of boss fights and there all fun, especially the last fight with nobunaga, its hands down the best end boss fight ever.

THE BAD:
Jaqcues...or whatever his name is, easy game play, and some scracthes in the graphics.

SUMMARY:
This is the best of the three they made, only real reason why is the fact that you can control your character alot easier. The weapons of the game are't anything special...Samonsuke with his double swords, long sword, and big axe... I really didnt lke that too much..NOTHING BEATS THE Swallow he had in 1... The Zombies in this game are the same looking ones from 1 and 2..couldn't they come up with a better idea than that putting 2 more legs to the regular samurai zombies...plus they added puking flying bats...XB....The rest of the game is pretty cool, the envirments and well thats it..

THE BAD:

SUMMARY:
I loved this game. I played Onimusha 1 when I first got my PS2. It was the first or second game I ever played on a console since I'd last played a game on my Sega Genesis. The cartridge unit.

Naturally, I was blown away. By the time the second Onimusha came out, I had played a zillion other PS2 games, and was less impressed with it than with 1.

Now, I have played about TWO zillion console games on the PS2, XBOX AND NGC, and I was VERY impressed with 3 and LOVED it.

I was pleased with the fully polygonal backgrounds versus the pre renderred ones from one and two. Controlling Sam with the analog stick versus the D pad was a MAJOR plus this time out.

The story was fantastically paced, with no filler, and was all substance.

Playing 3 characters was awesome.

THE BAD:
the difficulty in the last few training challenges is beyond imagination, and a few of the enemies are a bit annoying

SUMMARY:
Onimusha 3 is an incredible game. A perfect end to an amazing trilogy. You get to switch back and forth between samanosuke, jaques and Michael. This game has the best upgrade system to date and some awesome new weaponry. The story is pretty much taking place right after the first onimusha. Samanosuke defeated nobanaga and was on his quest to finish off the rest of the genma. he happens upon a disturbing attempt to take over the world via time travel by the genma (lead by the still alive nobanaga). in onimusha 3 you will find stunning graphics, near perfect control, great sound and an adventure that will end with pure satisfaction. THE BAD:
Monsters dont look to have very complex designs as the first two-games. Very hard battles, especially up against more than three opponents.

SUMMARY:
Onimusha 3 definitely deserves to be in your stack of games this year. Stunning new special-effects, detailed story-line, and lush beautiful environments. You will get your money's worth when buying this. Load times are a very short, and scarce. Switching between to effect the past and the future is a new ability not ever used, and is a great concept. Samanosuke Akechi returns to the series with new weapons and personality. Jean Reno also has his own compelling story-line in the game as well, as he is transported back into time, and is trying to get back to modern day times to be with his son, Henri, and fiance...
