THE GOOD:
Anime graphics, good voice acting, decent story...

THE BAD:
Frustration factor. See below.

SUMMARY:
Before Bungie made Halo (the most overrated game of all time, aside from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City), they proved that they most definitely were NOT the "greatest developers of all time" (as any ignorant XBOX fanboy will tell you) with this little-known blunder of a Third-person-shooter/fighter. Little known for a good reason, it seems.

This is one of the most aggravating games I've played in a long time. Not the "good" type of aggravating that you get from playing a game like Contra, where it's fun as hell, even if you die (and which results in that ultimate feeling of "awesome" when you finally DO beat it). Oni is the type of aggravating where 75% of the frustration and difficulty comes from the game itself, not because you aren't good at it.

Games like Oni are why I have very little respect for most American...

THE GOOD:
- Great Graphics
- Very good intro and cut scene
- Good Story Lines
- Good Weapons
- In game cheats

THE BAD:
- The map screen is too dark
- Few enemies to fight with

Basically what makes this game boring is that there are like 20 enemies to fight with in each map making the game boring because Kinoko (the main character) has many fighting moves to fight with!

SUMMARY:
Rockstar has finally brought up a semi-interesting game with nice women on the game cover box! Well, don't get fooled with the cover because don't judge a game by its cover because it can contain many surprises. This game is worth to buy but at the same time it's not worth to buy. This game has stunning graphics that were well script and the anime intro with the first cut scene that takes place in the beginning of the game is very entertaining to watch. The weapons great because they have a futuristic touch and some weapons that have been...

THE GOOD:
Graphics, difficulty, weapons, atmosphere, music.

THE BAD:
Too short, end boss not difficult enough, dodgy control system.

SUMMARY:
Well despite the bad reviews this game has got, I quite liked it. I found the control system to be hard to get used to, but gradually it became easier. The musical score for this game was excellent - it's mostly trance music, I think it suits the setting of the game perfectly, as it's a futuristic one. There are a lot of weapons in the game, but there could have been more - all the sounds and effects are great. Even the voice acting wasn't too bad, which is saying something.

My main problem with this game was that it's too short. Hopefully they could put all these things right with a sequel, but I doubt there'll be one. I liked and enjoyed this game - it's challenging, good atmosphere, decent storyline, good levels, and great music. A shame it ended so abruptly. I'd recommend this game to...

THE GOOD:
the graphics were nice--but what PS2 title DOESN'T have better than average graphics?

SUMMARY:
I bought this game in a discount bin at Electronics Boutique, thinking that a PS2 game for twelve bucks was a great deal. But, if I only I had known that this was such a boring, tedious, and pointless game! I should have been PAYED to play it. It can be agrued that I may be a little unfair, considering that I didn't make it over halfway through Oni. But what reason do I have to continue to torture myself through the remainder? I hated the control system (which made dull gameplay unneccessarily difficult), the lame puzzles, and the perdictable storyline. I wouldn't recomend this game to any one short of masochists...and even then, the pain might be a little too much...

THE GOOD:
Not much, maybe the graphics?

THE BAD:
Everything - combat(yawn), levels(grey, grey and more grey), puzzles(if you think the rubik's cube was fun)

SUMMARY:
This game bites from the very beginning. The load screens are ugly and the game itself is even uglier. It is dull and lifeless. It looks like Aeon Flux on Barbituates, perhaps Qualudes. Can a game be any more grey or brown?
The movement and combat are unresponsive, and there is better enemy AI in Atari 2600 Combat. The puzzles are as illogical and ridiculous as the maze-like levels are redundant. If you want to fall asleep playing a video game, pick up Oni.
Eidos has developed some quality games over the years, but this isn't one of them. It falls into place with Urban Chaos, in fact I think they used the same combat system for both games, lame and lamer. Fighting hordes and hordes of drone-like worker bee robotic people is not as fun as it sounds.

THE GOOD:
Awesome graphics. Great storyline. Interesting ideas in the future of law enforcement.

THE BAD:
Frustrating controls. Repetitive enemies. Aim for weapons could be better.

SUMMARY:
Konoko Rocks!!! There now that I have that out of my system let me tell you a bit more. Oni is a very fascinating game in my opinion. It is graced with a very nice and well rounded style of gameplay. It is fast, fast paced, and flows well. Sadly the controls never seem to catch up. You'll find your PS2 controller as much as any enemy. You have a lot of weapon options, but you'll end up using your fists more often than not. This game is a brawler, don't let the first person shooter tag fool you. But that is where it shines. You'll have so much fun clobbering your opponants, the same ones over and over mind you, that you'll forget about that weapon in your holster being unused. Oni has a very intrigueing story, heavily influenced by japanese anime. It has...

THE GOOD:
graphics are great, guns are pretty cool, and the story is ok.

THE BAD:
controls are hard to get used to but once you'va played long enough they are easy and work fine. anime.

SUMMARY:
this game is fun. basicly its a 3d third person fighting game with guns. you can do some pretty sweet moves like a back breaker, a neck breaker and some others. hard gameplay ad the 'bosses' are easy. all you have to do is time your self and dodge laser beams.

THE GOOD:
Almost everything, the graphics, the way u can fight without a gun, the plot and lots of other stuffies

THE BAD:
It takes a while to get use to the controls

SUMMARY:
I love this game, my brothers didn't like it cause of all the training u had to go through at the begining, but the case caught my eye and I had to play it to see what it was like and now I'm addicted.

THE GOOD:
Great gameplay and control system.

THE BAD:
Nothing to do afterwards.

SUMMARY:
Good game. It has a solid story, great gameplay and controls, and for once, you don't have to use weapons, you can do as much damage with your fists. It is a very good game, so if you like a fighting/shooting game, this is for you!

THE GOOD:
Oni is action packed, awsome wheps, great fighting combos like the backbreaker and the triple-hit haymaker. Plus, I most like the plot! It takes so much twists and turns, and a HUGE surprise at the end!

THE BAD:
Theres just something missing... I'm not sure what it is...

SUMMARY:
BUY this game! For the reasons above, and much more! Nuff said.
