THE GOOD: easy creation of schools and rosters, as well as one of the most deep offseasons i have ever seen. also, there is tremendous sound, as well as the most accurate fight songs in a football game out there.THE BAD: sometimes, there is a RARE glitch that makes it look like your player is giving a high five to the wall instead of a player. SUMMARY: this game has everything you could possibly imagine in a football game: beautiful graphics and sound, accurate mascots, jerseys, and fight songs, as well as the deepest offseason i have ever seen in a football game. plus, there happens to be a VERY EASY way to win in the dynasty mode: create your own school and create it under a juggernaut type of football team. then, jack up all yer players to 99 all the way across the board. this game will leave you breathless. buy it now and you won't regret it later. |

THE GOOD: Gameplay, Online Features, Dynasty, and better defensive AI.THE BAD: Running QBs, Programming Flaws, and Online Madness SUMMARY: After last year's game I thought EA Sports would definitely mess up this year's version by taking out what worked in last year's game and replacing it with some weak new features. Well I was wrong! In fact the dynasty feature is almost exactly the same as last year's version because: "If it ain't broke don't fix it."
Factor in the extreme gameplay and wonderful graphics that this series always make look easy and you have a awesome game! Bu what improvements are there you ask? Well you can still create players and create a school to play with on the game. The new game improvements have to do mostly with online play and the college classics.
EA includes some of the most thrilling moments from college football history and allows you to try and repeat them or bust them up! Relive the infamous "play" or lead Miami to the championship that they lost in last year's title game. These situations are timeless and you'll love trying to recreate the magic.
But what about online play? I think you can only play online if you have the PS2 version, bummer for XBox owners. If you have a USB headset and broadband, you can now chat online with your opponent and talk a little trash during the game. Don't expect all the cheaters and cheesers to be absent from online play, you'll still run across rank mongers whose only mission in life is to be in the top 100 online. Don't worry though, there are still plenty of good players out there to have fun against.
Only a few minor things hold this game back from pure perfection, the bugs if you will... It is way too easy to run with the QB and get major yardage. In making the DBs smarter against the pass, EA forgot to give the defense the speed to catch up to these guys. Don't be surprised to see the wrong guy get credited with a sack. This has happened to me a few times. Then of course there is the online idiots which always hamper a game like this.
A definite "buy", you'll have fun with this title even if you know nothing about college football. |

One of the Best Football Games Ever Created | 4.9 0 comments |

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics in this game are definetly an improvement from the 2003 year of EA Sports Football. The movement is so smooth it is hard to see any jaggies at all. The detail in the environment, such as the stadium and the field itself is great. Such things such as grass being stuck in the hair will be seen. Old uniforms are also here, are almost perfect as the modern uniforms. Don't forget the Mascot game, the mascots are done so well. As much time was spent in making them as in making the regular players IMO.
Gameplay: 9.5/10
This game will make you play for hours and hours. When I started playing this, I logged 7 hours on my EA Sports Bio for my first time playing this game. I could not stop. The option play is my favorite play, that is never included in the Madden series. They took it out after Madden 2001. The ability to lateral the ball makes the game so much more fun. To see the players react to the new situations is unbelievable. The EA Sports Bio also makes you want to keep playing as rewards are given for logging more hours, and getting accomplishments in the game. Going through Dynasty Mode is so realistic, especially with the Sports Illustrated section. Makes you feel right at home.
Sound: 9.5/10
The sound was excellent in the game. As the play gets exciting, the crowd gets louder and louder. Especially when you move the ball for a big gain, say 60 yards, the crowd starts to cheer and cheer, and it gets you more in the game. Also, when somebody is it hard, you will hear it and you will hear them scream, lol. One of the problems though is that, the commentators get a little repetitive every once in a while, and you get tired of listening to them. And when you play a terrible team at their stadium, and it is not broadcasted on TV, then you will get no commentators and it gets a little boring, and you might have to turn the stereo up on your own music system. But this rarely happens only when you play a team like Eastern Michigan or so.
Overall Impact: 9.5/10
This game will keep you playing forever, from you run out the tunnel till the whistle blows. Then you will want to do it over and over again. This game will definetly make somebody's day. One of the greatest games I have played in the longest while.
