Street Ball at its Finest. | 4.6 0 comments |

| I purchased NBA Street 3 weeks ago for twenty dollars while trying to cure my itch for a basketball game and right when I started playing, I knew it was money well spent. This game brought a whole new dimension to the way we look at basketball games with a style that is similar to NBA Jam, the arcade version. Every game is up to 21 and is 3 on 3, your standard street ball game and you can use something called gamebreakers, which you get by performing many trick moves which vary from 750 for a long range shot to 25000(from what I've seen) if you perform a double alley oop dunk.
In the city circuit, you start out by picking a team and you get the five best players on that team to choose from along with Michael Jordan. You then play through each division and when you finish each division, you play a boss and you get a court, the boss player, and 100 create a player development points when you beat them until you have to face Michael in the very end. I enjoyed playing through and beating the city circuit on mad game(very hard) but I felt that it was too simple if you had a reliable 3 point shooter on your team since I only used gamebreaker 3-4 times throughout. I preferred a lineup of a Jordan, Alonzo Mourning, and Tim Duncan for most of the game and they got me to the end until I had to switch to Stretch, Kobe, and Duncan for the last game against Jordan. It was a very rewarding experience and when you start in the city circuit, you become determined to beat each division leaving you play for many hours at a time.
Although I didn't use it until after I beat the game, Street School can be very helpful if you want to learn all the tricks before you start playing and not find out about how to use gamebreakers by pure luck like I did (it's 2 turbos.)
Hold the Court is where your skills will get tested and not the City Circuit. The winning streaks are the easy part of this but the trick points are where the challenge is at. I have only gotten through the entire hold the court on very easy so far and parts of it on very hard and getting obscene numbers 650,000 trick points will require you to master this game. To officially complete the game, you should try to get through all of this on very hard and then you are a real NBA Street Master.
Now selling for just 20 dollars, this game is a no brainer. I've gotten much more enjoyment out of this game that many other games that I spent 50 dollars on. Performing all the crazy moves in this game with you and your friends hanging on the edge of your seat is priceless. Because of this, NBA Street 2 is now on my christmas list and if it can give me half the enjoyment that NBA Street has, its worth it.

Basketball Was Meant To Be Played Like This | 5.0 0 comments |

THE GOOD: -Graphics -Good Replay Value -Controls -12 Levels -Unlocking New Players -Creating Your Own Player -Tricks and Combos -Different Playing Modes -2 Player -AddictiveTHE BAD: -Music SUMMARY: This is one of the best basketball games out there. It has superb graphics, different modes of play, cool levels, 2 player, earning awesome players and building up your own player to perfection.
There are 12 colorful levels. In the City Circuit, you must play your way through 6 regions, each with 6 teams each, beat street legends like Biggs and Stretch, earn cheats, players, and development points. You can also Hold the Court and play against teams of different difficulty, or play against a buddy. And in Create Player, you use the development points you use to make your own sweet player.
Clueless? No worries, Joe "The Show" is going to teach you if you go to street school, Playa. Here, you'll learn everything from the basics to the most advanced trick moves like alley-ooops. Pass 15 tests, and you graduate.
When actually playing, you play to 21, and all the while doing awesome tricks and dunks and earning boost for a gamebreaker, a sure-to-score trick that earns you points and makes your opponent lose points. Set a difficulty level to your liking and kick major arse! If you win in any mode whatsoever, you'll earn development points or a new player.
The only bad thing about this game was the music. You can barely hear it and it's kind of boring. But the other good things definitely make up for this.
This is a very addictive game, and is for anyone. Now on the Greatest Hits list, buy it, and buy it fast! |

THE GOOD: - The levels. - The graphics. - The characters. - The dificulty level. - The sound. - The moves.THE BAD: The only thing bad about this game is its multiplayer only alows 2 person to play instead of 4. SUMMARY: This is one of the best basketball game that I have ever played in my live. You play with a NBA team and try to go to the top and once you beat the game you get to unlock cool secret characters. Also 3LW is in the game other street legends to play with. You can make your own character, put him on a NBA team and play with him. There are lots of levels to choose from and they are in great detail. Also the graphics of this game are very good. There are lots of tricks and dunks that you can perform by pressing the turbo buttons. This game is just great so go and buy it. |

The Goods The Bads The Solid Purchase | 5.0 0 comments |

THE GOOD: This game is very tight and features some of the best characteristics that street ball has to offer. The graphics are good and the multiplayer section has a variety range of challenge andthe wide range of tricks available.THE BAD: The only thing bad about this game is its multiplayer only alows 2 person to play instead of 4. SUMMARY: This is a very tight game to buy featuring characters to unlock single/multiplayer play, create a player, and the NBA Street players. This game is very good to buy cuz it is the hottest bball game out in the market. If your not to interested in bball or non stop hardcore action u should probaly rent this game first. The only bad is the mutiplayer is only 2 player in stead of four. All in all this game is another SOLID PURCHASE` and should probaly be bought. |

THE GOOD: The graphics, and pretty much else is sweet. I usually don't play sprts games, but this one is an exception. it combines baskettball with caffine. Its a very addictive game and hits the top of my list next to Halo, and GTAIII, and that's only because they are the best. But the icing on the cake is the gamebreaker!THE BAD: the controls take a little while to get used to and missing gets very frustrating! SUMMARY: The graphics-9 gameplay-10 sound-10 addictiveness-10 and controls-9.5 on the Mosttotallyawesomegames scale-9.8 |

THE GOOD: Very addictive at first (believe me)!THE BAD: After you get all four medals, the game is just not fun anymore. SUMMARY: When I first received this game, I was hooked on it all day and all night. Hours of fun... It just wouldn't end! However, sometimes the fun just stops. And for most people, it stops forever. |
