THE GOOD: Harvick(my favorite driver) on the cover, 3 new series and production cars,2 different voices for crew chief and spotter, good selection of music,Fight to the Top mode, the new points system and faster pit crewTHE BAD: No passing indicators,no leaderboard crossing the finish line,no race status on pause menu,no top 5 shown on pause menu,no pre-race comments about track or drivers and car line-ups,no cockpit view,no Jeremey Mayfield,or Ken(#49 Schwan's dodge), and the no racing back to the caution feature SUMMARY: Alrite....the things they have taken away are the passing indicators which I depened heavly on,the leaderboard when you crossed the finish line, another thing I depended on,when you pause the race,no more race status,no more showing the top 5 cars, opening scene to the race where they talk about a driver and the N.A plays followed by jets or fireworks(day or night races, you know the deal) is taken out...umm cockpit view is out which sucks for me since the sun blindness cant be avoid at any of views, the view for going into a high banked corner like Daytona, the camera will seem to go to the right, the best advice for that is use the hood view when doing it. Um the Truck series.....although there isnt where you can pick the manufacture, all 4 trucks are merged into one,you would have to know the different dimisions of the truck to know what I'm talking about and able to see the different...Busch Series(NNS on game) you are able to pick your manufacture and Dale Jr. isnt in all of the races I believe because during the Fight to the Top mode for me,I am still in the 04 season and already have contracts signed up to the Busch Series with so far winning all of the modified races and getting all the poles with two races left in that series,in the Truck series I had waited a long time to get a contract signed there..I could of started real soon in that series but I finally signed with the Knights and my debut was at the California truck race that was night time, after I won the pole and the race in my debut,I finished 7th in the next race at Texas I believe due to a bad call in the pits and the tires gave up alot, just like the real ones, also in my Debute in the Busch series didnt come intill the Atlanta race even though I was signed before that one to where I can race in that race before Atlanta but there was the Martinsville truck at the same time so I skipped the Busch race. Now as you may know, there is a calender you follow, only for the Modified will you qualfy and race on the same day...in the other 3 series, the thursday or Friday, depending on the schedule is practice, qualfying, and happy hour only, the race isnt intill the Friday,Saturday,or Sunday on the calender which is real cool and that only contains Car Steup and Start Race Options. Thats all for now...I hoping to get a Nextel Ride before Homestead which is like a few races away for me on the game, that way I would have a busy week competeing in all 3 races |
