So my last attempt at getting an anime themed game didn't quite turn out so well. Well, alright, it was absolutely terrible. Nevertheless, I am not one to be deterred by one mishap and have promptly found myself in possession on another anime game. I'm sure anime fans will recognise Naruto though, for better or worse, as the gang put on a fighting performance for the audience. You know what? Some faith has been restored in these kinds of games, and for a licensed product that's quite an achievement.

The first thing that struck me was the way the development team has gone about conveying the visual style of the game. Cel shading is in full effect here that allows the characters to be modelled in 3D while still remaining close to the anime/manga style of the source material. They have also gone to great lengths to ensure that the level of detail in each person is accurately recreated, so all the little bits of Naruto's orange jumpsuit are reflected in his...
