THE GOOD:
-Graphics
-Music
-Franchise Mode
-Complete Control of Pitching/Hitting/Fielding/Baserunning
-Create-a-Player

THE BAD:
-Non-current rosters...you can update them manually, however.

SUMMARY:
I picked this game up a while back and it was great. I'm not really into sports games, but this is all I played until I finished its ten-year Franchise mode. With the recent release of 2004, this game is being ignored. It doesn't change the fact it's a great game.

The graphics were good, with realistic player models. Also, it had a music soundtrakc from various artists...however, it gets annoying when you've heard the same song 20 times. This game 2-player mode, Franchise, Season, Tournament, and a Home Run Derby mode.

The Franchise mode was what was the reall fun part of the game. You havr total control of rosters, salaries, transactions, and games. There were ten 162-game seasons to complete Franchise mode. Based on your team's performance, your salary at the end of the season was either increased or decreased. You can also make it to the playoffs, the World Series, and your players can win the various awards. Each player ahs his own record, just like in real life. There was also a very realisitc post-season (with rookie drafts and such).

Also, in the game, you had total control over everything. Each different pitcher had different pithces with different effectiveness. When pitching to the other team, you could select the pitch, location of the pitch (you had a strike zone), and how effective it will be according to how long you hold the button and whether it is accurate. You can also pick off baserunners. As your pitcher tires, his pithces become less effective and harder to make accurate. Of course, you could always call to the bullpen. Each player ahd his own strengths and weaknesses in hitting, baserunning, and fielding. When hitting, you can choose whether to send the ball to left or right field, whether it should be a fly ball or ground ball, you can bunt, or you can leave the analog stick alone for Full Swing Control. You can also take total control over fielding, and throw it to any base you want. Each hitter has his hot zones (stengths) and cold zones (weaknesses) in the strike zone. You can also choose to steal bases or advance runners.

All in all, a great game, a must buy if you're a baseball fan.

THE GOOD:
THe good is you can start a francise mode and draft players and players can get hurt.

SUMMARY:
I love this game it is so real. I love the new francise mode and I like how it is more challenging. I think it is cool how if you close enough to the ball the palyer dives for it. You can switch players postions in the middle of the game. You can make a pitcher a relief and startibng pitcher.

THE GOOD:
GRAPHICS are near perfect, Home runs hit are acurate to real time baseball, pitching is fun, stealing bases takes skill, not alot of wasted time (players walking up to plate) CROWD sounds awesome

THE BAD:
Only able to control one team, cant change other teams lineups during season play.

SUMMARY:
This is the best baseball game ive ever played, and ive played alot of them in the past 5 years. MLB, TRIPLE PLAY, HIGH heat, All star baseball .etc. the graphics on this game are awesome (players, stadiums) makes you feel like your really at ballpark.Replays are excellent looking. Game is competitive but fair.only thing i dont like is only aloud to control one team during season mode..i give this game a 9.4 out of 10

EA Sports has finally put out a complete Baseball game. 2 player mode has been greatly enhanced to allow fair and tricky play. The base running is a great improvement and this is a baseball game that is a great simulation of the real thing. This game is by far better than any other baseball simulation out on the market and the Franchise mode cannot even be touched by another game.

THE GOOD:
Just about everything. Graphics and gameplay are unmatched, period. I've played them all.

THE BAD:
A wind indicator and effect would be nice, as would humidity effects. A few too many spectacular catches.

SUMMARY:
Great graphics and gameplay. I don't mind the automatic diving, I kinda like it. In previous games, not just EA Sports, the length of "dive" was exactly the same which made it very unrealistic. This copensates it automatically for you. Also, it actually takes some knowledge of baseball to strike guys out and hit the ball effectively. Great game.
