THE GOOD:
  • One of my first games, at the time it was really good.
  • A blockbuster selection of cars, such as the New York City Bus, London Double - Decker, NYC and Londom Taxis, and much more street goodness.
  • New York City and London are modeled fairly well, they're distinct in appearance...
  • Story Mode is easy to follow and is fun the first couple of times around.
  • Multi-player rules, it's always entertaining to see who has more street cred between you and your friends.
  • The original.

    THE BAD:

  • The music sounds like it was ripped off of a mix of Ricky Martin, Hanson, Backstreet Boys, all instrumental, all techno. Absolutely horrid.
  • The graphics are very primitive, seeing as this is launch date material.
  • Collision detection needed some work, as well as mechanics. Some cars responded too well, while others didn't.
  • A - I can at times be as intelligent as an alien who lands on Roswell on purpose.
  • No NoS? Get out.
  • Still has the Twin Towers in them.

    SUMMARY:
    I got this game, I believe it was second after Twisted Metal Black. Anyway, the fact that I, at the time still lived in New York, and one of this game's locales was in the Big Apple, I was thrilled...and for awhile, it was bucket after bucket, hour after hour of fun. It really was good. But after awhile, as with anything. It gets stale and boring. Yawn was my reaction the third time through the mission mode, as with the vehicles who never had any customization besides the color. The game itself does introduce a basic understanding of the average do's of a street racer, and I do credit Rockstar for it. The sequels are worlds better though, so only buy this if you're really desparate. Seeing as Midnight Club 2 is around the same price point, you have to be extremely desperate, or collecting.

    THE GOOD:
    Nice Cars,Good Graphics,and Two Great Cities.

    THE BAD:
    Well the Bad Thing Is The City Champs Are Hard.

    This Game is good game.The most i like about this game is the tricked outb sport cars.I Think Everyone should have this game.

    THE GOOD:
    Fast cars, fun races, ALOT of freedom, etc...

    THE BAD:
    So-so graphics, races can get confusing at times, music is a disappointment.

    SUMMARY:
    When I first started playing this game I really hated it to hell with a passion. I was going to return it after only 5 minutes of play... that would've been a big mistake. I lost my receite and so I thought about selling it on ebay or something, but I was compelled to play it for some reason.

    What really gave me a bad impression was the graphics on the car models and how the characters would say the same *bleep*ING thing over and over again. But then I actually started racing and I was surprised at how much fun it really was. I couldn't put the controller down, I was hooked to the game.

    After I beat the city champ and went off to London the cars started looking good... damn good, the lighting effects even keep the crappy cars from looking too bad. Multi-player is a blast too, you'll be in for hours of fun, especially that capture the flag mode.

    That pretty much sums it all up. Trust me, go ahead and buy this game, it's more addictive that nicotine laced-caramal filled crack.

    THE GOOD:
    Eveything is goood. The music, the graphics.It's not good it's excelent!

    THE BAD:
    NO COMMENT!!!!

    SUMMARY:
    I think the whole world loves this game.. well i do. The speed you go down streets is pretty cool. With a car, i once i done a side wheely and rode up the side of a buildig....and landed!!!I don't no why, but you can enter a church....maybe to pray to god to beat this HARD GAME!!!!!!!I love dodging traffic and running over people!! hehe p.s. I LOVE NOS!!!!!!!!!

    THE GOOD:
    Great graphics, great gameplay, great replay value, great storyline, fun objectives, fun missions, cool characters, cool cars....

    THE BAD:
    Not much really...maybe the difficulty level. Its near impossible to beat the final boss...

    SUMMARY:
    I found this game to be a lot of fun. Its a great driving/racing game and its sure to entertain you for hours. You just don't want to put the controller down once you dig you're claws into this one. Its a lot of fun and the multi-player is a blast too.

    Multi-player has loads of different modes to choose from and you and you're friends won't get bored for hours.

    I can't wait for Midnight Club 2 due out in a couple of months!

    Overall Outcome: Buy It!

    Graphics, Go everywhere, NYC and London. Fast cars

    I really can;t think of nothing bad about this game, expect the other drivers suck... they run into you on a red light... What's up with that?

    this is a great game, i would buy it. this game has alot of things. I like that fact that you can driving in NYC. (it was made before 2001... the WTC is still in there, which is not good.) I have 3 word to say.

    THE GOOD:
    Nice Graphics, Good array of different races, Plenty of cars to choose from, quite challenging at times.

    THE BAD:
    Things that your opponent racers say get old fast, multiplayer is somewhat lacking...

    SUMMARY:
    If only I had bought this game sooner. This game is definitely well worth your time. Basically, in this game you race a group of very challenging racers, known as the "Midnight Club". You race them in a variety of ways. First, you must prove yourself to the racer by being able to tail them through the city, while they pull off many wreckless moves. Next, you must race in a "Waypoint Race", which basically is a race to get all the checkpoints and to the finish before the opponent and their "Homeboys". After this, you will get their cell phone number, and you can call them anytime to race head to head. In these races, you race head to head, through a specific order of checkpoints, and to the finish, racing against the opponent, and the clock, as these are timed. So, it can be quite challenging. When you win, you get their car, and then they get a better car to race you with. Each opponent has 3 cars that you can win, so this is time consuming. Then, after getting everyone's cars in the first city, you must re-race them to unlock the city champ. Once you beat him, you move on to the second city, where you go through the same process, except after the city champ there, you must race the World Champion, and let me tell you it is NOT easy. Have fun.

    About the negatives, basically the only bad things are the sayings. Each opponent has like 3 things to say, and they say them over and over and over, and it gets annoying after awhile, expecially one of the racers. Also, the Multiplayer is kind of short lived, it doesn't really take much to get bored with it I thought.

    Still a really good game though, I recommend getting it if you are like me, and didn't want to buy it.

    THE GOOD:
    The cars Kick azz! So does the ability to drive antwere! The cars will just keep geting beta and beta.

    THE BAD:
    The opponents say the same thing too much. like lata suka being said 20 times over is annoying.

    SUMMARY:
    The cars you can get look real good! people say they look like boxes WHERE THE HELL WERE THEY BORN? Honestly nothing much wrong with this game. A most buy if you like racing and have a PS2.

    THE GOOD:
    Graphics, Soundtrack, Overall

    THE BAD:
    Very Ugly Decals

    SUMMARY:
    This game is a great game - I recommend it to anyone who is the slightest bit interested in racing games. You are a taxi driver who follows hookmen in order to defeat the boss. As you progress, better, faster cars are unlocked to be available to you. The game itself is very creative - how many other developers created a city where you had to tail a guy for a few minutes in order to race him through waypoints in a city? And the graphics are excellent, almost no draw in and the reflections are superb. The soundtrack is also very good. What makes the game great, though, is the engine. You can hit everything, race through anywhere (over buildings, through alleys) in order to hit all the waypoints and get to the finish first. This game is one of my favorite racing games, so go and buy it for yourself, its only 19.99!

    The games concept of street racing is ultimately different and fun, same for the upgrades, the game makes you play it until you get the next upgrade for you car (Keeps you guessing)

    THE BAD:
    The handling of the cars is unrealistic, thats about it

    SUMMARY:
    The concept of the games "Street Racing" is different than all of the professional racing games. The game has many cars to keep you busy to get brand new ones, its fast action gameplay keeps you on your seat for hours on end (Until you opponant crashes into you), and the interesting characters are more than they look....a definate game to try
