THE GOOD:
This is another great game in the MOH series. The graphics in most parts are excellent and especially funny at times with the Popeye arms and men in hats cheats, plus as always great and sometimes eerie music. This instalment is much more challenging because your accuracy matters (70-75%) to get a gold rating, as well as the number of hits taken and of course, the number of kills made.THE BAD:
Soldiers sometimes are stuck behind trees, and your allies do not cover your back as well as you cover theirs. However, the most disappointing aspect is the shortness of this game. There are 9 missions in all with the first 2 concentrated on the Pearl Harbour attack which are quite short and have no man on man combat. Having said that the shooting down of Japanese planes is quite difficult and entertaining. The climax may also be disappointing to some people as well. SUMMARY:
Still I prefer underground as the best in the PS1/2 series, minding the fact I have just started MOH Frontline. If you are sick of shooting Nazis then I highly recommend this game. The Japs have a different style of combat which is much more challenging than the Nazis hiding around corners and shooting at you. The Japs charge at you with their long swords and their bayonets if you get to close, which keep you on your toes. The weapons are awesome; you should look forward to getting the Welrod in Singapore Sling and Type 99 LMG in the super-carrier sabotage. Overall a great game but just too short, but arent they all?

Medal Of Honor: Rising Sun - Multiplayer Mode | 1.8 0 comments |

THE GOOD: Hmm, it's quite fun if you are just playing with mates.THE BAD: Hmm, there's no AI, absolutely no stealth. The opponents always no where you are, the game has some kind of code in it which makes sure that the opposition knows where you are and can aim at you whenever you come into sight.
The opposition is hella hard to kill, mainly because the computer is the computer, and the computer controls everything, and the computer never loses. SUMMARY: Team deathmatch. It's 4 American players versus 4 Computer Japs. The Japs know where you are, there is no hiding, no stealth, no sneaking up and shooting them to shit. The computer knows every move you make and uses it to control the opposition.
It takes at least 2 clips of a machine gun to kill Oomomo.
Very annoying. |

THE GOOD: - Communication and Back-up by American soldiers - The weapons - Background music - Storyline - GraphicsTHE BAD: - Controls - Difficulty - Short game SUMMARY: Overall, Medal of honor: The Rising sun is a pretty good game If you are a fan of action-shooters. One of the most negative points in the game are the conbtrols. It can be quite hard to aim/walk with the small joysticks. However, once you start playing the game, you will get used to that (hopefully ). The game is also very short, it only features about 9 missions and the hours of gameplay could be very short. Difficulty is another negative about the game as the first two stages are dead easy, but the 3rd stages is just as hard as hell for a biggemer to the game. What I prefer about the game is that you have American soldiers as back-up for you quite a lot of time. So whenever you have to face those tense thrilling moments, they are always on your side to provide back-up. There are quite a lot of weapons in the game, from pistols to machine guns and Snipers, most of the common world war weapons are in the game. Graphics of the game are okay, however, graphics in different levels vary. If you are a action-shooter fan, I recommend this game to you, all you need to do is get used to the controls and your ready to go. Peace. |

THE GOOD: Good weapons
Simple controls
Brilliant first level
Co-op play
Multiplayer deathmatches etc.
Online play
Some really fun levels
Good voice actingTHE BAD: Average graphics
Small single-player
Annoying co-op niggles
Your team can't die SUMMARY: This is the second MOH game for PS2 and after Frontline I'm expecting big things from this. This game you face the japanese not the germans. But this one has it's ups and downs. First it's downs. I felt the graphics aren't as good as Frontline. It looks very dirty and scappy.(certainly in the jungle bits) Also in the cutscenes, the pixcels are very noticeable. Shame. Even still, story mode is far too short. Despite it's ten levels are twice the size as before, it's so easy. I know someone who isn't great at games but he still complete it in a few days. Multiplayer ain't good either. The usual deathmatches and team games and stuff is alright. But in co-op mode what annoys me is that if one guy stayed in the same place but the other guy runs up the corridor and they both will be put together again. Why? Don't ask me about online, haven't tried it and don't want to try it. The ups are the weapons. There are plenty of guns like the Shotgun, Thompson, M1 Garand and lots more. Yes the game starts off, a bomb lands on your boat and ruins your dream. Now you have to run up to the decks and get on a heavy machine gun and put those japanese zeros out of the sky. Playing this is great. Other levels are good too. But this game isn't a game you should buy. Rent because it's so damn easy. |

THE GOOD: 15 awesome weapons, M1 Garand, Tommy gun, Colt Pistol, B.A.R., Winchester Shotgun, Bazooka, Welrod pistol, T-11 LMG, T-99 LMG, Many MG placements, an AA Gun, a howitzer, Grenades, AND a Sten MK-II SMG. Not to mention hundreds of Japanese. They have bayonets though, so watch for them. There are also secret goodies. They help you through the game. There are 9 long, detailed levels.THE BAD: Too few levels, Needs more weapons. SUMMARY: You start out by falling out of bed in Pearl Harbor. Save all of your buddies! This game is intense now! You find lots of stuff, ammo, health, film canisters and more. Be acurate soldier, 'cause you're gonna need it! Take your time also, no time limit! Dodge by L1, R1, shoot w/ R2, Crouch with L3(Press analog stick), Jump with Triangle, Zoom with L2, and BE FREE!!!!!!!!!!!! |

THE GOOD: All of itTHE BAD: The elephant ride was plain silly SUMMARY: Without doubt the best game i have ever played on PS2.I had just finished Tomb Raider 4 on PC.It was awful, got this as a Xmas present and it was simply fabulous. The aircraft carrier level at the end had fantastic game play.I feel the game company have gone a long way to recognising the sacrifice laid down by many men and women in world war two.A big American Gung Ho but non the less good.I found however the sabotaging of the Bridge over the river Kwai was too easy.It played a central role in the Allies campaign in Asia.In the game my character all but walked up and just sorted it.Perhaps more emphasis on difficulty as well as super gameplay.I think though i may just be being overly picky. This game as a whole was in my eyes fantastic. It will be interesting to see what other games manufacturers can come up with to better it as a one player shooter.I recently played SOCOM.At £50 it was a complete waste of money |

This is by far the best Medal of Honour game brought out by EA. There are over 20 WWII weapons including everything from the Welrod right up to a bazooka. You can also use wapons found in the level that are immovable like machinr guns, anti aircraft guns and mortar implacements. The game includes real footage from the campaigns you are fighting along with the story line. There are different modes to battle it out in. This game also offers online capabilities, so you can meet and fight against/with them. Extremely detailed graphics and environments. Even when you have completed the missions there are medals and keys to be earned allowing multiplayer bonuses.
The graphics sometimes break up if you get too close to the edge of the allowed area but this is true with all games, all that happens is that you can see outside into what appears to be a sky of ... nothing-ness. This game is by no means too short, it is a challenge to even the most seasoned Medal of Honour players.
Overall a GREAT game. |

THE GOOD: Interesting story. Good graphics. Good music. Good GameplayTHE BAD: Too short and too easy. No conclusion, no end. Low replay value SUMMARY: Probably my expectations were too high after MOH Frontline. This game doesn't do it for me. Except for the first Mission, everything else is not as exiting. You may want to rent it and probably wait for the price to drop, if you really want to add it to your collections. ..................... ................................ ...................... ................................ ...................... ............................... ....................... ............................... ....................... .............................. ........................ .............................. ........................ ............................. ......................... ............................. |
