THE GOOD:
Everything

THE BAD:
Nothing.. yet

SUMMARY:
Yo this is the best game (well close to the best game) I've ever played.. I just got it today and it's very fun.. and yet very violent. This is "Chalk full" of violence. If you smack someone in the head after their dead with a bat there heads will blow up like charries. This is not for kids. It's has a rating of (M)Mature but I personally think it should be rated AO (Adults Only). This is a great game. With GameShark codes enabled of course.. lol.

PS2  Manhunt - how controversial !? 5.0

THE GOOD:

. Piggsy (an awesome boss)
. Controversy
. Violence (people like violence)
. Death/murder (people like killing stuff in games)

THE BAD:
not long enough, hardcore mode is too hard, no sequel... yet

SUMMARY:
I abso-fuckin-lutely LOVE this game... no, wait, the word "love" doesn't go well with a game containing so much HATRED! anyway, it was by pure chance that I came across Manhunt. I saw a very small news thing in Max magazine about how Rockstar were planning to make 3 more GTAs then stop. it also said that, in the mean time, they were making the "disturbingly different" Manhunt. so when I saw it whilst shopping with my grandmother I got it straight away. The fact that I was 14 at the time and that it was rated as 18 had no effect on whether or not WH Smiths would sell it me (bunch of twats). when I got it I didn't know anything about it but after a quick read of the back of the box I noticed that this was almost completely different from the GTA series, yet very similar and I was keen to play it.

Well... people who want to know about the actual GAME should just ignore that last paragraph...

When I eventually played Manhunt for the first time I, obviously, did the first level to get used to the controls and thought it was good. More? OK; easy learning curve, easy to do and easy to remember... After the first 3 levels I thought "this is getting repetitive" but carried on anyway and, as the story unfolded, I got more and more interested.

Manhunt, despite the controversy, is well worth it if your a fan of the GTA series or just a fan of violence. It's got everything a good game needs :easy controls, good graphics, good storyline, no glitches
I highly recomend it... just dont play TOO much.

THE GOOD:
Awesome full fudging stop!

THE BAD:
It gave me nightmares. XD

SUMMARY:
This game is just awesome! I'm currently about half way though it sinse I brought it a week before christmas and it's just. Whoa! They should turn this into a movie, if they did I wish New Line would do it.. It would be the sickest movie ever!

The game got banned in Austrailia due to some dope killing his mate, which encouraged me to get it more before everywhere refused to sell it... How can you kill ya mate from a game!?
The people in the game are funny, and get PWND real quick.
Pigsy just kicks ass, he scared the shit out of all my friends whilst running around on the last level, he's just XD That's some crazy shit!

But then again, we're just kids. But it's still the most awesome violant game I own.
Full rates!

PS2  Original - and that's why I like it. 4.5

THE GOOD:
Original concept, non-boring stealth, constant edge of seat feeling, sence of urgency.....

THE BAD:
Point of view - I wish there was a way to sense (without seeing) where your opponents are.

SUMMARY:
Let me start off by saying I am bored of first person shooters. They were cool 10 years ago but they are BORING now. What's worse are first person shooters disguised as "stealth action 3rd person shooters". What a pile of crap. Stay stealthy until you hit a location where the AI is programed to "discover" you and it becomes a shootout.

BORING!

Now this game is cool. Stay stealthy or you die. Stay stealthy to take out your opponents. Your opponents are better equipped than you but you have the element of surprise. Neat.

Mix in the difficulty of knowing exactly where your opponents are but still being able to hear them....

Also - this is the first video game where you can crush an enemy's skull... Nuff said.

This game has suffered from poor reviews from little boys who are not over the whole FPS thing. The answer is simple - if you want to go in guns blazing, find some sort of health recovery and then a power up for your 23 barreled hand held rocket launcher, this is not the game for you.

If you want something truly original that takes some patience and thinking, then look no further.

Improvements could be in graphics, but that is always the case and enemy AI, ditto.

THE GOOD:
Graphics, sound, and unique storyline help make u want to play so you can progress through and learn the entire story. also, the various weapons make u want to play, just to see blood. it is definitely worth trying out, even just renting.

THE BAD:
repetetiveness and difficultulty settings are pretty bad. difficulty is better when you master it, though.

SUMMARY:
It is a great game, but the difficulty levels are nearly skyhigh but tend to go down once umastered it, only to go back up later in the game when firearms are introduced.
However, this is definitely a great game to check out, but rent it first to make sure ur okay with the difficulty and stuff.
The graphix r definitely great- they will sear your mind FOREVER...... They also aree boosted by the shear power of the mighty PS2.

THE GOOD:
Graphics are detailed - Decent and meaty executions - controls easy and well like GTA games.

THE BAD:
Enemy AI could have been improved - Killing is to easy, sometimes even if an enemy turns and faces you, you can get an easy execution.

SUMMARY:
A meaty and grissly game - had me hooked all over Christmas and a good prospect for the future, well wrote storyline and they have alot they could improve on in a sequal to make it a hardcore violent classic.
They could fix up some of the weapon uses in a sequal and they could improve on enemy movement, these guys are supposed to be physcho lunatics and in the level 'Kill The Rabbit' a load of Clever wielding thugs run away as soon as they see you raise a Revolver Six Shooter.
All in all I rate this game pretty high, not as detailed as a Grand Theft Auto but its another great story and a great game from Rockstar.

THE GOOD:
detailed graphics, decent executon cutscenes gangs get harder as you go through(good/bad)

THE BAD:
enemys kill you to easy, enemy AI could be better, more background behind charicter

SUMMARY:
Manhunt comes from the makers of the GTA series and is one of the best games on the market im here to give a fair reveiw and just clarify a few points
Most magazines say that manhunt has no storyline and relies entirely on violence whereas thats not entirelly true manhunt has got a story line but only starts developing during the second half of the game
and yes the game dosent just relie on violence but also relies on stelth and thinking to get through the game
The story of manhunt is that the main charicter is James Earl Cash a death row inmate whos life was bought back by a sadistic snuff movie directer Called Lionel Starkweather who is hellbent on making the ultimate snuff movie ever
the game begins in the abandoned part of carcer city which is run by a gang called the hoods and during the first 3 levels you are instructed by starkweather the basics of the game to make players feal more comfortable with playing the game
the controlls are so simple my 8 year old brother could understand them (but i wouldnt let him play it offcourse) you would have to play the game for about half hour to a hour to get used to them the music in the game is used to create tension during the game for example when hinding in the shadows and you make a noise the enemy would come over and the music would get loader and more intense but when you get spoted the music gets faster the music is used to create a atomsheare during the game
for anyone that calls manhunt a crap game dont forget that manhunt was created by rockstar the same company that created GTA so technically you are insulting the GTA series

THE GOOD:
Style, production, sound, intensity.

THE BAD:
some angles....weapons lock...hand to hand striking

SUMMARY:
This game definitley ROCKS...its from rockstar of course..makers of GTA....the headset option really throws you into the character....when the watcher is screaming shit at you in your ear. Pretty cool. The intensity when you are waiting for some chump to come running around the corner is sometimes unbearable. especially while playing in the dark after throwing down a few forty's ehehhehehe. My only complaint is that i wish the hand to hand combat was a little more indepth....and blocking....seems that the A.I. will get off more punches or attacks than you....so its just like mash buttons back off mash buttons back off...sometimes it gets a little silly...when you run away and hide in the dark...and the guys are right in front of you....not very realistic in that sense..but it is still a cool must have game. The gore is really for adults...kids are already desensitized to violence more than they should be...and this game will put them over the top. Im sure they get there little bastard hands on em' anyway. No rating system will keep them from playing this stuff. I only rented the game the other day..so im still playing to get as far as i can. The controls are great. The gangs are pretty funny...and the shit they say is crazy!!!! I love it when the skinz call me a halfbreed...because I AM...then i wrapped that baseball bat around their heads....it does make you a little violent. BUT ITS ONLY A GAME right?

THE GOOD:
Blood. Gore. More blood. And the language is straight from a 'R' rated movie. I'm surprised that this game didn't get an 'AO' rating for all its adult themes. But since I am an adult, I loved every minute of this game.

THE BAD:
Not a single thing. This game has it all. And some might say that the difficulty is bad, but I like it.

SUMMARY:
I love any game that has blood, gore, violence, and the occasional scare. Manhunt has all this and more. From having different types of executions. To using guns and going into shoot outs with the enemy. To just beating the crap out of someone with your fists.

This is a game that I've been dreaming of for years. And it's finally a reality. I think the producers of 'Manhunt' secretly stole my dreams of the perfect adult game and made it.

This game is for adults (Over 18) only and once you play it you see why. Some teenagers can't grasp reality enough to realize what is going on without coping the game and killing innocent people. That's why Rockstar gets all the bad press about GTA and probably Manhunt as well.

You don't see adults killing after playing Vice City do you? Of course not. But these kids who play games like this need to wait until they are older. And parents needs to make sure that their children are not playing 'M' rated games in the first place.

I hope that 'Manhunt2' is out before the end of 2004 and I can only imagine what features it will have. If you love gore, blood, violence, and stealth. Then buy Manhunt. Before it's censored, which may not happen but you never know. It will be the best 50 bucks you ever spend.

Presentation
From start to finish, Manhunt is as close to a virtual killing game that I've seen. I'm surprised that it didn't get a "Adults Only" rating. But it sure deserves a "M" rating at least. 10/10

Graphics
Blood. Blood. Blood. It's all there, and plenty more of the graphic violence that makes the graphics come alive. The background and environment also looks very clean and life like. 10/10

Sound
Great music to set the mood in this game. When things are tense the music shows it well. Most games don't get a good score to accompany the game, but Manhunt found the perfect score for it's game. 10/10

Gameplay
I have played through the game twice and still haven't been bored with it yet. There are so many ways to kill or be killed. And the Hunters say some very funny lines. 10/10

Lasting Appeal
I love horror games and even though this game isn't horror there is plenty of gore and violence. The stealth part of the game can be scary at times, trying to hide or find those who are hiding. 10/10

PS2  Gore, Guns, Graphics Equals One MANHUNT. 4.8

This is one of the best games Rockstar has released in its life, second to the GTA series.

The game places you in the mind of James Earl Cash, a killer who was executed via lethal injection, only to be given a second chance at life.

On the streets of Carcer City, the player must utilize stealth, stragetic cunning, and execution tactics to survive. One mistake can be fatal. Featuring weaponry from plastic bags to wire garrottes to machetes to chainsaws, the arsenal is plentiful.

Two difficulty levels help the player to evaluate their niche and route. Fetish, which is the easier level of difficulty, gives more painkillers (health packs)per level, weaker hunters (the people that want your ass dead.) Be warned, this only gives you four out of five stars, which is the maximum that can be attained. The other, Hardcore, gives you that extra star which presents less painkillers, stronger enemies. However, it helps you get cheats.

The levels and weapons, not to mention the characters, are skillfully rendered to the maximum that the PS2 can allow. Not one detail has been overlooked.

Stealth, as I said, plays a critical factor in this game. You must be as sneaky as possible in order to eliminate pesky hunters that want to tack your skin on their kill list.

Be warned, this game is not for the faint of heart.

Now, get it!
