Here's a little game that could've been excellent - Malice. It was met by mediocre reception, and after this reviewer played through it a few times, it's easy to see why. Apparently, this was meant to be a tech demo for the Xbox 1, but it ended up getting a 3 year delay for some strange reason, and when it finally got released, it pretty much looked like a tech demo, and not a fully realized game. Malice's biggest problem was that it just went through the motions, didn't do diddly-dick to stick out in any possible way, and just decided that being average was the way to go. Where it could've given Ratchet, Clank, Jak, Daxter and Sly Cooper the middle finger, it pisses its pants and runs home, crying to mama. In other words, it's not a horrible game, but it isn't good, either. I could just say "*bleep* it, review's over" and move on, but no, I got 1645 bloody letters to use up, so... I don't know, just pretend you're interested or...
