THE GOOD:
Play as your favourite characters from the Lord of the Rings films

Great graphics

Cool "heat of the battle" moments

You can really kick ass at times!

Exciting and intense

THE BAD:
Get's repetitive

Won't last long

not enough levels

Last level is a let down

some levels are boring like the ones involving the hobbits

Not much replay factor at all once you complete it

SUMMARY:
Now this is one great game with a few setbacks which will cause it too gather dust after a few weeks or a month.

When you first play it, it's amazing, the graphics are brilliant and you can pull of some really cool combos with the characters from the LOTR movies. Other characters such as Gandalf can be unlocked as you get further into the game. The game is so addictive and exciting. Until you beat it. There is barely any replay factor in this game, and the last level is a disappointment.
It's still a very good game though but I suggest you rent it because you can beat it in a week or less and then you won't play it much anymore.

THE GOOD:
Its full of adventure and exitement. There is a great Variety of characters. There are wonderful moves and abilitis. The indurence matches are really really fun to do at the end.

THE BAD:
Not enought levels, it gets really boring after a while. Some level ups do more harm than good. The end cheats are all that fun to use. The last level isnt very good.

SUMMARY:
Its an extreamly adicting game untill you get to the absolute end of it. The exitment of adveture diminishes and you feel more like cracking the disk. There are a few challenging levels especialy the endurence ones at the end. Its realy fun to do on more difficult settings. The first few weeks I had it I loved it. Then after i had finished it I didn't pick it up for a few weeks. if you are looking for a long lasting and challenging game this wouldnt be one for you. But if you love medieval games then i would definetly suggest buying this one

THE GOOD:
I love that game, and I play it almost everyday! The graphics blow my mind away, and everyone who's ever seen me play it. They all said, "HOly Cow! Is that the game or the movie?" I was just as shocked as they were. On Helms Deep (the first level) I didnt know whether it was the movie still playing or if I should start to play it was so good. I beat it on my first try though!

THE BAD:
There ARE NO BADS! Didn't you read The Good above?
Actually... There is one bad... Never mind, I can't think of one! lol

SUMMARY:
Since I've already beaten the game, I'm now getting every character to level 20, and when I do that, I'll get all of their points to a maximum. It's a really cool game, and I love it. A game I can play without getting bored! (and that's pretty hard to come by, since I get bored playing almost any game for too long).

PS2  Lord of the rings: Return of the king 4.2

THE GOOD:
Different paths for different characters.
Nine playable characters.
More "spread-out" levels instead of in a small area.
Co-op mode is a great improvement.
Intervies with the actors from the film.

THE BAD:
It could have stuck a bit closer to the film's storyline.
The movie clips are mainly from the first 2 films not the third film (e.g when the black gate opens)

SUMMARY:
This game is better than the Two towers. It is more fun to play because of co-op mode and the paths of the wizard, king and hobbits.

Three unlockable characters at the end of the game (two hobbits and a man - I'm telling you who exactly!), to go with the six characters: Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Sam & Frodo.

All in all I reccomend you buy this game. If you are choosing only game out of all of them, I reccomend this one. EA games did very good in creating this masterpiece!

PS2  A little less entertaining than the other two 3.0

THE GOOD:
-More characters from the Great Wizard Gandalf, to the King Aragorn
-More enimies from Orcs and Uruk-Hai, to the dead men of Dunharrow and the Ringwraiths
-More weapons and attack combonations
-Realistic Characters and areas

THE BAD:
-Less levels
-Easier levels
-Less enimies on each level
-Easier bosses and less bosses
-Only levels from ROTK
-Only certain characters are playable for certain levels

SUMMARY:
This game has many people wondering, "Is this game worth buying, or should I stick with the first two?"The levels are shorter and the enimies seem easier, while your characters that are playable are way stronger. Unlike the Two Towers game, only certain characters can play certain levels which are called:"Path of the King"-Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli
"Path of the Wizard"-Gandalf
"Path of the Hobbits"-Sam, and the last level Frodo

I know most of you look foreward to playing Frodo, the ringbearer, but don't. The only level Frodo is playable as is the very last level, which is only playable for the habbits. If you like games that have little realistic fight scenes, like a hit on the head does the some damage as a hit on the chest, than this game is for you.

PS2  One game to rule them all 4.7

THE GOOD:
-Graphics
-Characters
-Levels
-Sounds

THE BAD:
-Lack of playable evil characters

SUMMARY:
This is one of the most entertaining games that I have ever played. I have played a ton and no game has ever excited me like this one.

Characters
-Frodo
-Sam
-Gandalf
-Aragorn
-Legolas
-Gimli
-3 unlockable characters

From the start of the game I knew this would be a winner. From flaming rocks almost hitting you in the head, to lava, to even trees stomping on your head the action is unbelievable. There are three paths throughout the game: the Path of the King (Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli), the Path of the Wizard (Gandalf), and the Path of the Hobbits (Sam, Frodo).

During the Path of the King you go through such things as recruiting the dead to help you, defending the Southern gate, helping at Pelenor Fields, and going for the last battle at the Black Gate where orcs just flood you forever and ever.

During the Path of the Wizard you take Gandalf to Isenguard, defend the top of Gondor's wall, save peasents from being slaughtered from attacking orcs, and helping with the Black Gate.

During the Path of the Hobbit you experience the lower paced part of the adventure where you try and get to Mordor to get rid of the ring. Starting out in Osgiliath, you go through the level trying to escape, going to Shelobs Lair, then to Cirith Ungol to save Frodo, and finally ending it at Mount Doom where you fight Gollum.

The graphics are extrodinary and I have no clue why EA Games didnt put more advertisment on this game because it is one of the best I have ever played. I cant wait for the Trilogy that EA games has scheduled to come out this year. Good luck.

THE GOOD:
Great battles
Good storyline
Great gameplay
The Co-Op

THE BAD:
Could have been longer
The Co-Op camera is annoying

SUMMARY:
Return Of The King is a must have! It is one of the greatest games ever with great battle, graphics, you name it ROTK has got it. It has really done justice to the films with great levels for every important event from the film and the book.

It has great combat with even better upgrades like bane of sauron, swift justice and elven bow mastery. The only bad things about this game are the game is to short and the palantir levels are to much like the Isenguard levels in the Two Towers.

The Co-Op mode is good, and fun. But the annoying part is the camera. They should have made it more like the War Of Monsters where when the characters get close the camera should go like it does and when they seperate the camera should go into a split-screen.

In my opinion The Return Of The King is one of a great line of games being brung out by EA Games and I cannot see much faults in this game and I expect great thing from the Lord Of The Ring: Trilogy.

THE GOOD:
Awesome graphics, scenery, player detail. Great powerups, and 2 player mode! Interviews with the cast about the movie and playing the game.

THE BAD:
This game at first is pretty hard, and nearly impossible but once you beat it, its seems like it should be a little longer. They left out characters that should be in the game.

SUMMARY:
Overall this game is one of the best of the year. It does spoil the movie so if your a fan of the movie don't get the game. There are three different paths you can take, just like the movie. You must complete all of the to get to the final board. If you've seen the movie you'll know what I am talking about.

They have most of the characters, but neglected to put a couple of key players in. The hordes of Orc in this game are crazy. The game does not freeze at all which is impressive for the amount of craziness thats going on. The difficulty of this game is great it keeps you interested, and frustrated at the same time. On one of the boards you have to run from one mountain to the other killing the elephants, while killing the orcs in between, also while trying to kill the Nazgul. Its a very hard board almost impossible at first, but because of the difficulty makes this game loads of fun.

The two player games is almost the same but there are no checkpoints. Yu have one life in between the 2 players and if someone dies twice or each dies once the board is over. In Single player mode you have checkpoints after defeating certain "bosses".

After you beat Golem, there is another board. you have to defeat 30 boards with about 30 orcs on each. Different types. I have yet to finish it but keep trying.

This game is also available online, but have never played it there. No reason to its so much fun.
