Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer

Kelly Slater is hot. The other surfers are hot. The game is hot. But wait...you do the same thing over and over and over and over and over...you get the point. I rented KSPS because i am a fan of the Activision games (THPS is the GOD of all skateboarding games) but i realized soon enough that the only difference between the oceans was, well, the size of the waves. Thats it. Ok sure, you get a jet skier or another surfer here and there but thats about it. The game is really cool...great backgrouds..beautiful waves..they could have made under the ocean alittle better, but hey, nothings perfect. All in all..this is a great game IF your a die hard surf fan...and thats about it. This game is definitly worth a rent by any Activision fans...but dont buy it until you've tried it, that's my advice.

The most fun without going to the beach. The graphics are realistic. Well worth purchasing. You don't need a knowledge of surfing. If you liked Tony Hawk's pro skating then you will love this game it is from the same mold. Go out and get yourself a copy you won't be be let down. I am well and trully hooked on this game.

Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer is the most refined surf game made to date. Over the years we've been subjected to a multitude of surfing games that promised a realistic feeling comparable to the real experience only to have that dream come crashing down on us like a 25 foot Waimea rogue set. Fortunately for us this game has finally delivered that which we all were hoping for.....a true surfing simulator.

GAMEPLAY 10/10

The controls in Kelly Slater's Pro surfer are very easy to get used to. There are no complicated configurations that bring about early arthritis and the character responds to your commands in a very fluid and graceful way unlike most surfing titles out there. Besides the obvious turns and rail-grabs, Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer includes an unbelievable amount of special tricks including Barrel moves, Face moves, Lip tricks and unreal arial maneuvers as well as duck diving. this is the sikest game ever made on ps2. its y i got 1This is one of the hottest games I have played this whole year - superb graphics and a soundtrack by NIN make this a great action romp. Some other users have diss'd the game cuz they say it's too short, or it doesn't have enough weapons.... forget what they say, cuz the game is freaking HARD, and the weapons that you have access to require some serious skill to really master, so all in all the game is tuff to beat, and not at all suitable for pansies. Two thumbs way up!
