THE GOOD:
very good in graphic, sounds, actions, and in creativity.

THE BAD:
when the game actually end? get boring after repeating the train & fight for so long and yet don't know when it will come to an end.

SUMMARY:
At the beginning everything is fine. Learn & fight...
After winning the first Imperial & defeat the master, the game ends once. But soon player becomes the master, and the game goes on and on and on.... don't really know when there will be another ending??
And how to learn all the technoque (move)? I only manage to get 89%. I saw another 3 moves in different Dojo, but I just can't learn them. No matter how hard I try. Finally got boring with everything... can someone tell me are there any second ending?? how to get there?? anyone learn 100% moves?? how?? I really hope that the three different characters will have three different ending. If there is no second final ending, then the game is cheating my time & energy.

THE GOOD:
Well you probably will.....

THE BAD:
but then it all goes downhill from there.

SUMMARY:
Holy sh*t a new bushido blade! These where my first words when the cover of Kengo had set it's place into my eyes on the shelves of a hic town Blockbuster. Nearly soiling my boxers I immeadietly hacked my way to the cashier and demanded he rent this game to me or suffer the wrath of my blade which was so cheaply purchased at a Spencers. I fought my way home through countless samurai and thugs passing through many a dojo when i finallly put the game in the most honorable PS2 , bum bum bummmmm. Alas I found nirvana, extreme happiness and joy. The single player experience was as good as I thought it would be. Then I beat the game. Then I beat tournament. Then I killed everyone who dare challenged my character. Then I played around in the options. Then i turned the game off, dissopointed. Whatever happened to originality?! In truth the game is somewhat of a shellshock at first. The sword fights are cool, the ability to learn new techniques and earn new swords by beating dojos is pretty kick. The infinate numbers of combos which can be put together through something called forms, a system where you combine moves on a trigger button which forms a combo makes for some pretty deep character origionality. After that though the game becomes a bit repetitive. Yah i like to beat the hell out of punk with a wooden sword every now and then, but if I could just kill em I wouldn't have to worry about him anymore. This is something I really can't ignore in a samurai game. Throughought the game you go to various dojos fighting the students which all look the same first and then the master and By defeating them you gain much needed experience and techniques, possibly a sword, but in the dojos you only use wooden swords. Only in tournaments and the occasional streetfight do you use steel. Why the hell? The training system is somewhat weak also. At first fun but then repetitive. Okay standing under waterfall pushing o over and over again,,,cool. 20th time youll be saying my nuts look like raisens and this is gettin a little boring. And after you defeat the game theres nothing else to do. Throw me a fricken quarter man! I wanna go to china and kick ass, not sit in a dojo gettin hit in the back by a wooden board. Overall the game is good for a while. Swordfighting is done pretty well and the graphics are decent. There could be some more for the voice acting but it keeps you interested. If you've never played this sort of game before then i would reccomend at leats a 5 day rental. It's always cool to have a buffed up sword fighting guy around to kick your freinds asses with. Sienara.

THE GOOD:
Well it is in my opinion the best game for the playststion 2 The graphics are exceptional and the gameplay is intense they took care to include details such as bleeding and different stances just as in kendo and as far as a storyline goes, Come on it is a fighting game did you think the plot was going to be a prevailing feature

THE BAD:
Besides the lack of plot which ws obvious from the description on the game, nothing

SUMMARY:
My favorite game ever besides Chrono Trigger for the SNES

THE GOOD:
An excellent recreation of the education of a Samurai

THE BAD:
No story to speak of, and not much variety of arenas- dojos, the imperial arena and a street scene are about it.

SUMMARY:
On the whole a great Samurai simulation for those prefer a more realistic fight game to the Tekken type. Tons better than Bushido Blade (apart from the blood) and really captures the feel of Kenjutsu, And speaking as someone who is learning the Japanese Weapon arts ,I should know. I would have preferred some multi-opponent fights, but you can't have everything, and a storyline would have helped.

THE GOOD:
Just like the real thing (I guess) it takes quite a while before you can enter the Imperial Tournament with confidence - that yes, you will reach at least the finals ! It's just then that you make on mistake - and well you do not even getpast round 1 !

THE BAD:
Is there supposed to be a story line ?

SUMMARY:
If you're thinking that this is Bushido Blade 3 - it's not. Gone are the death moves - but better is that a samurai can be bleeding constantly - which is somewhat bizarre.

It is also much quicker that it's predessors and looks 10 times better too.

Very good 1st gen PS2 Game
