THE GOOD:
Huge Grounds and exterior. Great spells and magic. Points the movie did not mention (Great for HP fans.) Great, fast moving Quiddich. Quiddich Practice. Flying freely around Hogwarts. Many charecters to interact with (like Hagrid.) Good, fast graphics (unlike the PC game) Spell power. Awsome notice board. Easy to read map (unlike PC) Fred and George sell some awsome suff. Hedwig. House points are cool. Some pretty cool cut-scenes (but some bad.) and much much more that I can't think of now.

THE BAD:
Some cutscenes are really bad. Hogwarts enterior isn't easy to get lost in like book and the Grand Staircase is small. When Malfoy laughs in the library it makes me want to smash an axe in the TV. The ghosts are a pain. Its bright outside and Ron is worn out and ready for bed. Everything is closed in Diagon Alley. Chareters are very cartooney and are supposed to look like 12-year-olds. Flying is a bit slow and you can't pich that steeply. but others good. A few bad parts in Quiddich. The dueling is a bit unfair. The loading time isn't that bad, but you just have to do it every two seconds and some others I cant think of.

SUMMARY:
This game is wonderful for HP fans. With Enourmus Grounds and exterior. On his broom, Harry's acessibility is almost unlimited, you just can't fly to close to a building (Hagrids Hut, Herbology) The Interior of Hogwarts is pretty cool. With tons of rooms and some like in real life you have no use for which is pretty realistic. One thing that I did not like is that according to the books, Hogwarts is huge and confusing, and the Grand Starcase is wild. In the game the stories are just like little rooms. The first floor is a good size though. I liked how there were tons of passage ways, that are good for avoiding Prefects and ghosts. The Quiddich is great, only that the chase isn't immedietly on. Harry looks around for awhile THEN it's fast and furious. The free flying is good for getting around to places and to just have fun. The only thing I did not like is that the pitch isn't that steep and it doesn't go to fast (except in real Quiddich)<br><br>In some places, the dueling is unfair. Like when your opponet casts a hex at you, the hex just keeps folowing you. The computer can just walk away from your spell.<br><br>Hermione is really badly built in the game and some of the cut-scenes are messed up. Like in the end, when Ms. Weasly screams "GINNY!" Ginny just walks up to her and stares. Or when Gildroy Lockhart is teaching. He rushes is line of "Can you all hear me, can you all see me? Exelent! This term.." He should pause after "see me?"<br>When some others are very cinimatic like the Polyjuice Potion and when Ron comes in with the car and Aragog is about to kill Harry.<br><br>Also, Harry looks like he is in second grade. He is really 12. And some of the charecters look to cartoonish and rubbery (like Tom Riddle)<br><br>The loading time isn't that bad compared to some other games, but its just that you have to do it all the time. Like when you walk in the Entrence Hall, your there for 20 seconds and you have to load again.<br><br>Game Rating 8.5/10<br>Charecter Graphics 7.3./10<br>World/Background Graphics 8.8/10<br>Cut Scenes 6.0/10<br><br>P.S. Sorry about the giant, boring summary<br>

THE GOOD:
harry potter and the chamber of secrets has a variety of missions, alot of new spells and some more wizard cards that you have to find. there are also some knew mini games that are fun to play (knome throwing and broomstick flying) and some pretty kool gameplay. avoiding prefects is a great idea and the various objects you get to disract them are fun to use. luminous ballons and stink pellets are very fun to use when you are in a tigh spot. the characters and surroundings are also very kool.

THE BAD:
the graphics arent that great and the loading time take forever. it seems like you spend more time loading then you actually play the game. and the game glitches alot also.

SUMMARY:
this game is alright if you like easy games and can be amusing in some missions. but i give this game a 3.5 for the alright graphics, the long loading time, and the glitches

THE GOOD:
Great graphics, all the characters are neat, this game is very challenging

THE BAD:
It can get boring at times

SUMMARY:
This game is awesome, except it can get boring sometimes, this game has really cool spells, and this game is very challenging, so it will keep you busy for a very long time. I would recommend this game to anybody who is into any Harry Potter stuff, even books.

THE GOOD:
Graphics

THE BAD:
More Enemies

SUMMARY:
I would recommend this game to many of my friends and other people. My good points are that the graphics are great and the broomstick control is easy. My bad points are very short, and they are that there should be more spells to win, aquire and learn, plus, the number of enemies should be raised and more housepoints should be given for good things that you do for Harry, Griffindor and for Hogwarts.

THE GOOD:
READ BELOW!

THE BAD:
READ BELOW!

SUMMARY:
I am feeling lazy so I won't write my usual long boring review, instead I'll just list the Pro's and Cons of the Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets (PS2) game. (Okay it's still a bit long but anyway)

PRO'S:

A VAST improvement on the first game
Graphics are actually rather impressive, very colourful, and often good texture maps
Harry Potter fans will not be dissapointed (mind you, hardcore fans will find many problems, e.g. differences, to the book)
A high level of difficulty will keep you busy for a while
A massive castle, with tons of secrets rooms and items - good replay value
The castle grounds are really massive, plus you can fly around and explore the rooftops of the castle and the entire grounds on your Nimbus 2000. Great free-roaming element. To a limited extent.
Loads of characters to talk to and interact with
New menu featuring a map (yes, at last!), a list of quests, inventory, and a task list so that you do not wander around aimlessly
You can now buy various different things with your Bertie Bots beans from Fred and George, plus collect and trade 101 wizard cards (Folio Magi)
A decent game overall, worth a buy if you like Harry Potter or just as a game.

CONS:

Slow down!! Yes, for the first time in my life, I have actually seen slow down in the cut-scenes, let me say that again, cut-scenes of a PS2 game!!!! Not a single decent PS2 game EVER has slowdown in cutscenes!!! Very PC-esque. Must be a poor conversion.
The whole game has a very "rushed" feel about it. You know - "Ah, the movie has been released, Christmas is just around the corner, let's hurry up and make this game quickly" Nothing specific, the game just isn't polished and doesn't shine look a good game should.
Characters aren't exactly the same as in the movie, so this may be a minor let-down for people who have seen the movie (i.e. speech, faces etc.). And Tom Riddle's face looks, how do you say, much larger than in the movie.
The voice-overs are rather rushed and unimpressive.
WAIT FOR THIS. It's important. Stealth. Huh? As in MGS2. It's like the fighting seqence from the Matrix - everyone copies it (you know, person jumps up, time slows down, camera pans around, time resumes with the bad guy receiving a brutal kick; running up walls; bullet time etc.). But now all games have stealth in it. Developers must reason that just because they have got that stealth element of MGS2, their games will be brilliant. WRONG - and in this game horribly! It just is plain bad. People who own MGS2 can have a good laugh at this! And it is rather obviously copied, not blended into the gameplay, like some games can actually do to make their games better - right from the tip-toeing, the sneaking with your back against the wall, sneaking like that on thin ledges, hiding in shadows, sharp-eared guards (in this case prefects and teachers), peaking around corners (the most famous copied element in all games!) with that special camera angle, the dazed guards (or imps) with stars around their heads, similar controls... I could go on and on!
Rather short.
The actual game is on a PS2-CD, not a DVD, like most decent games are on the PS2. Which means that the graphics could've been way better, the LOADING FASTER (!!) the sound superior, the length of the game really infinitely longer, and overall a better game. But since it is also on the GC and the designers want to hurry on the game design, why not make a quick HP game on a CD? Oh yes, how thoughtgful. Hmph.
Quidditch is based on the same boring system, only minor improvements.

Summary:

Graphics: 8/10: Great in places, glitchy and slightly pixelated in others. Lovely textures. Overall, great.
Sound: 6/10: No, no no!
Gameplay: 6/10: That stealth element from MGS2!! It is quite hard in places, ridiculously easy in others. Also often uneccesarily annoying. The controls are also not as fluid as they should be.
Lifespan: 8/10: All those folio magi to trade and collect, secret games to play, secret areas and quests to find - quite a few replays I'd say before you do it all!
Playibility: 8/10: Easy enough to learn.

OVERALL: 7.5/10. Mediocre in many ways, and although I had so much crit. for the negative aspects of the game, it is still a good, solid and enjoyable game. It is a bit of a letdown to see such a wonderful book converted into an only above average game. Well worth purchase, though.

You really get to explore Hogwarts in this game. Secret Passages, classrooms, common rooms, dorms, they even have the dock where the 1st years get off their boats after the traditional ride across the lake. Spiders flee the school, and the staircases really move.

The game follows the movie more than the book, and I was rather disappointed that there was no sign of Dobby.

The most challenging part was probably sneaking around unnoticed. Or getting out of the Forbidden Forest. The bosses weren't very hard and the basalisk was just laughable.

The worst part was probably just waiting for it to load. I've never played a game that has had to load like this before. It take you 5 minutes just to leave the library and come right back!

Exploring Hogwarts and Diagon Alley is reason enough to buy the game. The fact that it's playable as well is awesome

THE GOOD:
Ok, this has great graphics. Alot better than the first one. The storyline is great. The things you get to do are better. Quidditch is alot better in this one than the first. You can actually lose (I know this, cause I lost my second quidditch match). The game is a little harder than 1, but some parts are alot easier. Getting the beans, the cards, SAVING THE GAME!!!! Thats a plus.

THE BAD:
The only bad thing that I have come across so far, is that the aiming of Harry with the spells. If you turn one way, you wont aim at anything. You always have to be facing directly at the thing you want to shoot. Also, It loads ALL THE TIME! Coming in the castle, going into the common rooms. Sometimes its a pain in the butt!

SUMMARY:
Overall: I would buy this game. Its great for the younger kids, and its great for the big kids (like me). Some of the things may be harder for say the 5-8 year olds, but the pre-teens and teenagers will enjoy it if they enjoy everything about Harry Potter. Like I said, it has easy parts, and there are the hard parts, like after you get the new spells. Otherwise, this game is on the top of my list. This game is rated everyone, but there is one part of the game, that I think would be a little bad for the youngins. Harry does catch on fire. Kids may laugh about it, cause I did, but I am an adult and I play Vice City. Little kids may not like is so much. But, stay away from the fire, and there wont be a problem. Otherwise, the game is great. Alot of fun for the whole family, and will definately keep the kids occupied for many hours at a time.
