Gungriffon Blaze

THE GOOD:
As a realistic mech simulator, it has few equals, barring perhaps Heavy Gear 2.
Smoothest control setup of any mech simulator.

THE BAD:
The lack of additional levels or independant missions is disappointing, but livable
The arcade style power ups were a bit disconcerting

SUMMARY:
A mech that moves smoothly, where you want it to.
Guns that shoot where you point them.
Tanks and APCs that can skrag you if you don't respect em.
Oh yeah, and Remember, Thou Art Mortal.

Needless to say, I like the game. I finally finished the last mission last night, and got the suitable simple ending. But I wasn't disappointed.

I've heard a lot of bad reviews of this game, mostly from people who don't take it for what it is. It isn't whiz-bang look-so-pretty modern anime action. It is anime action, but from another age, that of AT Votoms, Fang of the Sun Dougram, and more...
