THE GOOD:
Grim Grimoire is a unique game, to say the least. When I got it I wasn't quite sure what to expect and what I got certainly wasn't what I had anticipated. That said, this is a pretty good game… for some. It's a niche title to be sure and while it will really impress some people, gamers should take note – this title isn't for everyone.

Grim Grimoire is a real time strategy game quite unlike any other. The entire game takes place inside a magic school, with battles carried out in the hallways and corridors. The goal for most missions is to either defend your own base, or destroy the enemy one. You play the game by drawing runes (the "base"), which are then used to summon different familiars which you control as units in battle. It isn't easy to describe – your best bet is to look for a few screenshots to see what the scene looks like. Yes, battles are carried out in well defined two dimensional battlefields, and all the units are sprites. But...
