THE BAD:
voice acting, and you dont get to actuallyy explore the towns.
SUMMARY:
this game is exceptional on almost all levels the story line is great, and the battles you fight are challenging but great, it is very long so for you ppl who dont like long games you shouldn't play this one, i personally do so i love it. you can chouse from two characters which both have different storylines and start off in different parts of the world so you also have alot of options to what you can do.the only things i found bad were the graphics but there not that bad, and you dont actually get to go in to the towns you can only explore the world map,oh i also dont like that if you die out side the arena you cant come back. Well thats it hope you found this useful its a great game and worth buying in my opinion.
THE BAD:
Some of the leagues will make you want to commit suicide they are way tooo tough.
SUMMARY:
This is a must have.
I'd love cheat codes just to get through the really tough parts ( that skeleton fight in Modare is just too hard )
Some times I feel like I'm playing "filler" going back and forth to the same arena's to get certifications but hey, pro sports leagues do that today don't they ?
I too would love faster load times and being able to bypass cins by clicking out.
Some of the fights are very off balance.
I Nordagh if you're doing pretty good they put you against imperials that outgun you by 10 to 1. You lose.
There have been matches were my stats were clearly superior and couldn't land a friggin blow....
THE BAD:
You can't skip the cutscenes which is annoying.
Long load times, but aren't all PS2 games like that?
Everything else.

Note: This review is from my experience with the Gladius Demo Disc.
After looking at Gladius, I noticed that it had a lot of flaws that needed sprucing up, especially the battle system. Like with Paper Mario and Arc the Lad, you take turns hitting each other. Although you can "move", you can only move to one space each turn. These are gladiators, not chess pieces! In fact, the gladiator arena layout resembles a chessboard. My point is that it would have been nice if the characters had a free range of movement, like the characters in Kingdom Hearts, and can still attack and defend without the "taking turns" battle system. The HUD down at the bottom of the screen, when you are in a battle, is too...
