"Contents Under Pressure certainly walks the walk, but when it tries to talk the talk it falls a bit flat. You can't fault the presentation and all important street vibe, but you can fault the feeble level design, fudged controls and lousy camera. Dedicated hipsters will probably be blind to these oversights, making it better suited to poseurs than gamers."
"All things considered, the game does show promise. At present, it doesnt look like its going to be a record breaking hit, but it certainly may be worth looking into, especially if youre a fan of graffiti."
"It's been nearly two years since Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure first appeared on the radar. The game, by Southern California-based developer The Collective, has been advertised as a unique mix of graffiti culture, action adventure, and platforming."
"Getting Up builds a cohesive and entertaining world without sacrificing gameplay, resulting in a really great overall package."
"I appreciate what this game is trying to do. Unfortunately, it cant quite get the fundamental controls to work well enough. If fighting is in the game, it has to function as well as everything else. The same goes for platforming. I love the soundtrack, and I love the graffiti cultural nods that show up through the story. But I really wish there was some way to import my own art and paint that all over New Radius. That element alone would have given this game so much more substance."
