THE GOOD: Decent graphics. Ok plot. With a walkthrough guide to get through the difficult parts it basically enjoyable. If you want a *real* challenge in 'puzzles' and coordination, this would be it.THE BAD: Choppy camera movements. Freezes up. Can't save during a level. Needs hints. SUMMARY: This game acts like a beta. It has frozen up on us multiple times and since you can't save during a level you have to start that level all over.
It was disappointing finding that collecting coins and gems has no impact on the game's outcome. I have collected magical stones, but can't seem to find uses for them.
Frequently you can't see where you are because the camera swings to the other side of what you are next to. Some jumps are almost impossible; I spent an inordiant amount of time trying to jump back onto things.
During training it tells you to use the left analog stick to look around, but it doesn't tell you that you acutally have to press down once on the left analog stick, then look around with the right analog stick.
Figuring out what to do is very difficult on many levels. If it weren't for walkthroughs posted on the web I would still be stuck at slick willy's. Being able to 'buy' hints with the coins and gems would have been a nice twist.
There is a glitch. I think it is in level 3, it is the level just after slick willey's river boat. If you go to the large gate and jump up the rocks and over the gate the world is inversed - sort of. We found that you do not need to go there, though you can collect anything there you didn't collect before, but it is very hard to get around and there is no way back from what we can find. One person got out, but that was apparently because she opened the door to the mayors office before she jumped over the gate and so when she got the clover in the 'other' world it automatically brought her to the next level without her giving it to the sick fairy. It is certainly worth a run around though.
All in all, it could have been a great game given more work and thought. As it is I wouldn't recommend it, but I've seen worse games. If you are thinking about buying it, I would recommend renting it first. |

THE GOOD: I really like thinking games and this one made me think to get through all the levels. I loved getting to the next level to see all the great graphics. There were 2 places I needed help, getting out of my room in Dr. Starkenstein's Castle, and finding that darn key on level 4. Other than that it was fun playing!THE BAD: I didn't like the fact that were weren't any hints at all for some very difficult places. The camera view was difficult when you lose your sight trying to fight a bad guy. SUMMARY: My kids loved to watch me play this game, they were excited when I won. I love to think, but that darn key in level 4 was too hard to find. I thought when they said it was "up high" somplace that I should be looking in the mountains or something. I didn't like the fact that collecting all the coins and gems were really useless, I thought they should help you through a level or something. I also thought it was hard being a mom and all not being able to save when you had spent a lot of time in a level but had to quit. Some of the humor I didn't really get either like the riddle you bring back to Fairy Town and the knowledge you get from the tree. These could have been more exciting and at least given an answer for the riddle. Overall, very fun play doesn't take weeks to win and great story!! |

THE GOOD: I liked frogger. I dont no if i liked it because it was so adicting, or what it was about it that i liked. There werent enough hints or clues. I had a hard time figuering things out. THE BAD: The camera shots were bad. u had to hit free look all the time because u couldnt look where u were. SUMMARY: So im not sure i guess i liked it. I liked playing it and figuering things out but there were bad levels in which things are very hard to understand and so people get agravated. I find my self asking for help on every level lol, |

THE GOOD: The idea of Frogger turned into an adventure gameTHE BAD: The controls Items in the game are lame Weapons are lame Gameplay is even more lame SUMMARY: THis game is lame I can think of so many other games that anyone can spend there money on For instance just about any game but this one! What a waist of my time and money and what a disappointment from Konami who usually comes out with more than satisfactory games for the most part |

THE GOOD: Great story. Great Graphics. Good Game for first-timers; you are not racing against the clock and you can take your time to learn the controls, etc.THE BAD: Sometimes the camera view is not good in small areas. Sometimes you cannot see Frogger or you cannot see in front of you where you should go. SUMMARY: This is the first game that our family played on the PS2 system we received for Christmas. The whole family would sit in front of the TV watching one person play while giving out helpful hints. We successfully completed the game and we are still continuing to play it. We really liked the first level where the Fairy Frog Mother gave Frogger training lessons for jumping, eating bugs, fighting with 'Frog Fu' and spitting 'Goobers' and using the 'Free Look' mode. The 'Free Look' mode is great when you arrive at each new level to allow you to look around. Great Game, can't wait to play a sequel to this game. |
