Freedom Fighters

THE GOOD:
Truly a superb game. I played this game for about six hours straight and I never got tired of it. The first time I played it, I was simply amazed at the realism found within the game. The first mission really got me excited and I just couldn't wait to play the game once again. A great storyline, the alternate ending to the Cold War was simply genius and I fully enjoyed the different characteristics from each character met. I felt as if I was part of the game.

THE BAD:
There are only a few things that causes this game to get only a 4.7 and not a 5.0. First of all, it's the small amount of things you can do within the game. Once you beat the storyline, you'll occasionally play the game from time to time. There's pretty much no other thing that can be done within the game besides the missions. Also, the multiplayer componet to the game disappointed me. There was absolutely no option for co-op missions and the main multiplayer...

Well, I was scanning the aisles of Blockbuster one night and I realized I'd rented about everything there. And then I saw Freedom Fighters and decided it looked good enough for a try, but I had no idea how great this game would actually be! I couldn't believe my eyes. I played this game for about 10 hours straight, and it felt like only a few minutes had gone by. This game was great. First of all, the action is great. With all the weapons and the amount of men you can control, the good characters, the good enough plot and great control scheme, this game is easily, hands down, one of my favorite games ever. The only problem I have with this game, is the mediocre graphics. I'm no expert on PS2's limit to graphics, but I know it's a hell of a lot more than this. It has changed names 3 times, but this is not a sign of a bad game. SUMMARY:
I've just got this game and so far it is brilliant. The ability to have up to 12 freedom fighters at a time, and to send them into battle.

The Rag-doll physics make classic eye candy. Enemys fly through the air and slam against walls.

The gameplayis really good but challenging. Having to scout a really large area to find some feekin'C4 to blow up some commie building gets is a bit much but hey, its a small price to pay for a brill game.


There are limited weapons though, and this puts the gameplay down a bit because you have to keep using the same weapons over and over again.

Overall i would buy this game because of all the things mentioned above. You will have fun blowig tings up and shooting.

SUMMARY:
The single player mode is very good because what happens in one mission can affect another mission, for good or bad. The missions are slightly samey(raise the flag) but still great. The battles are exciting and very challengin, it makes you feel like you are in a real battle. Also the missions increase correctly in difficulty level.

The multiplayer mode is quite good but lacks maps. The aim is to capture bunkers to recruit soldiers then capture the flap and keep it for a chosen time limit. Even with its bad points the battles can be exciting and feel very good when your planning helps you beat your freinds.
