THE GOOD: Fifa 2002 is one of the first games to have an in depth player and team creation system.
THE BAD: The makers spent so much time on all the little things, they forgot to make the game fun.
SUMMARY: I've played soccer (real soccer) for 15 years. I've also been playing soccer games for a long time. They had seemed to be making great steps foward until they hit 2002. Fifa 2002 is probably the most frustrating game i've ever played. The one touch system they've put in the game is sloppy and makes it to easy to accidently one touch a shot while your tryin to make a tackle. The player AI is also, may I say, terrible. Players do not make runs unless instructed to with the run button and often while on a breakaway will slow down or even stop while the ball is right there. These set aside there are other major errors in the game. Switching players often results in you switching to the wrong one and them scoring a goal on you. Last but maybe the most important, is dribbling. Dribbling is ...
SUMMARY: THE GOOD: Everything, from the easy navagation of the menus to the intro, to the music, to the gameplay. THE BAD: Nothing worth mentioning.
SUMMARY: This is the best soccer game you will ever play. Please do not mistake this for the new fifa that has come out for the PS2. This is the first release. Now to the good points.,
Control: The controls for this game are the best ever. You have complete control over your passes it is unbelieveble. You can curl a ball left or right, lob it over defenders, accuratley aim any where in the goal, juke defenders, set players on runs, volley the ball with expertise skill!!!
Graphics: The graphics are on par with distinct looks for japanese, german and english players. Players s are detailed and have fluent animation. The rain and field effects are great and uniforms are detailed to perfection.
Modes: There is a create-a-player, create-a-team, and a create-a-tournament mode. The create a team mode is a real ...
FIFA 2002 is the greatest virtual soccer experiance ever,so far. Don't listen to anyone who tells you pro evolution soccer is better. It's not. The new passing system which everyone seems to hate (in England) is great. The creation centre rules and the cut-scenes are just great. However if you are a critic and you need to pick up on a bad point (magazines especially) don't pick on the graphics gameplay or realism, pick on the player likeness and the way amature is too easy and proffesional is solid, not to mention world class but don't be fooled by pro evolution soccer (PAL)or winning eeven 5 (NTSC/UC) as konami probably pay magazines for good reviews as even crap games get a 8 plus from them.I'm only 11 but believe me as i spend 9 hours a day playing games ,reading mags and writing reviews.
