Extreme-G 3

Granted its the fastest game I have ever played in my life. I mean how often do you break the sound barrier in games? But beyond the speed factor, there is nothing else left. There is no reason to play the game. I will admit the graphics or pretty darn spectacular, but the gameplay is definitely where this game falls short, and when it comes down to it that is the main factor in games, especially racing ones like this. The concept behind the game is that you play in these futuristic motorcycle jet-propelled flying thingies. It may sound cool, but once you hop in and give it a run it dies off very quickly. Hop in your Kinetic suit and try a game much more innovative and appealing *cough* -kinetica- *cough*.

Gameplay 5.0
Sure it is cool the first time you go through a level or two and race at speeds of 400 mph+ down the raceway. But it gets very boring after that, it is almost impossible not to collide with a wall around some of the crazy turns. The weapon system is...

This game is crazy. It gets very fuggin.. hard late in the game, but lemme tell ya a story. I'm an artist. I love motorcycles. Not enough yet to know the sum of a cycles parts, I'm still a caveman in that area, but I love riding them and one day want to own a few and ride across America...or Japan. Either one...preferably Japan. Anyway, I love anime too, and sci fi. Mix the two and...HOVERBIKES. And that's exactly the type of theme and supa dupa rocketboy stylin' that EG3 is all about.

It's simple, mind numbingly simple. See what it did ta me? After picking your team of choice and player of the team, you start off on the very first track, a big round circle. Your in your bike, and once the light goes green, you're no longer in a bike, you're in a monster going over 200 straight, screaming past the opposition, going trigger happy and the bastard who won't get out of the way, FORCING you to blow the bastards machine out of the way so you can hit the thrusters and blaze PAST THE...

THE GOOD:
Its great...ged it! while your waiting for wipeout fusion! rain effect is fantastic!

THE BAD:
No replays and needed more tracks.

SUMMARY:
Just ged it eh!

THE GOOD:
X-ceptional sense of speed. Framerate throughout is consistent, save for a drop in one of the later levels. Courses are fantastically beautiful, with not absolutely NO pop-in tp speak of. Controls are spot-on. SPOT-ON, jack. Wait 'til you experience that "G-factor" for yourself. Sound fits comfortably into the game's overall presentation. Excellent sense of competition throughout. A really polished, next-gen video game.

THE BAD:
Hmmm, lemme see. The Atradaitoshi course features a phenomenal rain that is on the level of MGS2. Here you shall experience a drop in framerate, but it doesn't hinder gameplay. Too short. Too short. Too short. Lacks depth for LONG, EXTENDED gameplay. To hell with nitpickers!

SUMMARY:
Firstly, XG3 epitomizes what a next-generation videogame should look, feel, and play like. Of course, you know the awesomeness that is Metal Gear Solid 2. You probably even did yourself a favor and...

It's addictive!

SUMMARY:
It's fun, but the higher end weapons respond to slowly. I have tried many, but they need a high powered repeater. Other than that, the speed is great!
Buy engines first! A weapon won't cross the finish line without an engine.
