Drakan: The Ancients' Gates

THE BAD:
Arokh can be really *bleep* and try to fly through trees or a building to land.

SUMMARY:
I really love game with dragons(i haven't found many) becaouse dragons r awesome. Dragons: fly, breath fire, r way strong, and look really kool. I love all the weapons. I play for hours. Sometimes it can get a little 2 gory, like when dead people r hanging from the ceiling. wats the point of that? overall this is the only ps2 game i play. it rocks.

THE BAD:
After starting slegs on fire you cant stamp them out without losing health. Instead they just roll around on the ground screaming.

SUMMARY:
If you are a first person shooter fan. If you are a TUroc fan. If you dont have enough to buy this game, then steal the money from your mom. You are going to want to SOAK this game in. Dont buy a walk through, this game will keep you inserested and the have a auto save FINALLY. The game is perfect, handles like a new bike, visually better than that cute girl that lives down the block and super zoom on the teck bow lits you watch slegs and other baddies puck blood when you nail them with the poison arrows. What more can you ask.

THE BAD:
Load and save times are very poor. Sometimes you can get lost, but isn't that the point of a game, to figure it out? The AI could have used some work as well.

SUMMARY:
This epic tale of dragons and monsters brings a fantasy of human and animal being linked by their soul. They search to restore the order of the flame and have one hell of a time doing it. You get to venture into endless caves and tunnels. So many quests that you can play this game for hours, and have fun doing it. Don't let anyone tell you that this game sucks, they probably haven't played it. It is awesome, and I know that you will think so as well. Go out and get Drakan!

THE BAD:
1) Enemy AI is a tad dodgy
2) Bosses are easy to beat
3 Can't pause the game and acess the inventory!

SUMMARY:
I love this game. I have never been a fan of 3rd person games (ala Tomb Raider) but I think Drakan is fantastic because it is unashamedly fun to play and retro, kinda like Gauntlet with questy bits. Also the voice acting is superb, for example the Blacksmith refers to you as his Armour clad angel and the enemy Wartogs (Big troll things) shout things "I crush your skull. The only slight downside is that you can't really specialise in magic and archery effectively. Having said that the fighting is superbly fluid and i would recommend the game to anyone

THE BAD:
The gliches from time to time...and the AI was a bit lacking.

SUMMARY:
Great game. Gameplay is fun. Loading doesn't take too long. Nor does Saving. The game is long and runs pretty deep. But lack of sidequests. Dragon riding = AWESOME!!! hem hem....and then there's Olag!! 'you..pretty...you like Olag?'
I think this is a must have for any third person gamers...or those fond of the hack and slash games. Spells are cool...but they should be able to be hotslotted...but it's a great game!! A must buy for anyone!! Plus...after you beat it..you can still go around!!! never fooking ending!!

THE BAD:
glitchy, and poor A.I. arokh(SP?) sometimes acts dumb and cant land.

SUMMARY:
very good game. well worth the money. only 15 levels but they all are big. the A.I is somewhat poor but funny to watch. great spells and the landscape is awsome. very nice game i recomend to any one who likes thrid person action games.

THE BAD:
-tough to keep your level up to the weapons(that forces you to choose a certain style of play)
-difficult to cast magic, making most spells useless
-screen does not pause when you need to get inventory

SUMMARY:
This game brings you into a detailed fantasy world that has vast landscapes of valleys, mountains, rivers, lakes, and forests. Did the creators of Lord of the Rings make this game? WOW! It's amazing how much exploring you can really do. It's great to battle creatures on your own (no selection battle) and do it in three different styles(melee,archery,magic). It's tough to power up in all areas, so you have to pick a certain style. You can zoom in and snipe guys with arrows of all kinds, but you can't kill them fast enough if they run towards you, so you better save some point skill for melee combat. This game rocks, and I havn't even mentioned that you can call a dragon to land beside you if your tired of walking. When you fly around on this fire breathing dragon, you can access mountain tops and valleys with ease, and then you realize how much work has gone into this game.

THE BAD:
Stupid AI, and sometimes Arohk can be dumb.

SUMMARY:
I just love the graphics, they are nearly perfect, and the articulation of the characters is great! And sometimes seeing how stupid the enemies are is funny.
Othertimes its just sad.....
But all in all, its GREAT!! I love the dragon and aerial battles. They are great because you can chage altitude, circle, hover, dive, do what ever your heart desires. And the NPC interaction can also be amusing, like Hubert the drunk. And it has great looking monsters, like I said, I cannot get enough of the graphics.
