THE BAD:
Repetitive missions.
SUMMARY:
Dark Angel's actually not that bad a title if you look at it from a different perspective. Its only real drawback is the lack of a detailed storyline and its decidedly repetitive "hack and slash to level up" theme. However, if you only need a quiet afternoon to keep yourself busy with brainless monster slaying, then this title can actually be useful for killing an hour or two.
Some of its better features include a gigantic array of weapons, guns, bombs, healing items and rare objects. Other collectable items are used to increase the strength, health and overall economy of the towns you're protecting.
During battle, the character's movements are smooth, and there's very little lagging, glitching, or getting hung up on obstacles.
Surprisingly enough, the music isn't...
THE BAD:
-Same enemies over and over
-Too many floors..
-Not too many special moves..same cutting action over and over...
-Game gets old before you reach halfway to the end
SUMMARY:
Well..at least it has one good thing about it.
Basically this game is constant leveling up. Theres no storyline or plot except to get as strong as possible before the end (IS there and end!?). The game got old fast, its the same thing over and over again, the same enemies except they get bigger..almost to a ridiculous size compared to you.
While there are many different kinds of weapons to choose from, they are all basically the same thing, except the level goes up. And its not very challenging as far as money goes, you get rich fast and can afford pretty much whatever you want. In fact its not very challenging in any way, becuase if you die you come back to life in 5...
THE BAD:
Almost everything
SUMMARY:
This game is a dud. Eveything about it just sucks. There is nothing fun in this game. It is basically a stripped down "Gauntlet" with none of the fun of that game. It has a weird top-down semi 3-D scrolling game engine that delivers nothing but the most bland of graphics. It looks a lot like Blood Omen:Legacy of Kain but without the appeal of that game.
It is hard to believe that these guys actually designed Star Command for the PC. Although they used the same game engine it seems from that game circa (1992)
You do the same repetitive things over and over in this game. The attacks are all very standard, and it is difficult to tell when you are doing real damage and when you are not. The graphics are second rate, as well. I don't understand why the developers even bothered to release this game. It was bound to do a belly flop from...
THE BAD:
It was way too boring. I didn't enjoy doing the same thing EVERY level....
SUMMARY:
I wouldn't emply to buy this game...I would just rent it. It's not worth wasting money on, the gameplay was too boring to keep on going through...
