THE GOOD: Fun game Great graphicsTHE BAD: Short as hell Lacks weapons AI problems SUMMARY: Conspiracy: Weapons of Mass Destruction is a FPS from Kuju Entertainment, the same developers that brought you the disappointing FPS that was Warhammer: Fire Warrior. Conspiracy: Weapons of Mass Destruction is better than that game but unfortunately it is one of the shortest games that I have ever played.
In Conspiracy: Weapons of Mass Destruction you play as Cole Justice, ex goverment agent and mercenary. You don't really need to know the rest of the story. It is cliched, boring and no fun to watch. Chances are that you will just skip them.
The gameplay is one of the strong points on Conspiracy: Weapons of Mass Destruction. The gun battles can be intense and the level design is good enough. Objectives range from killing certain people to getting infomation from data cards. Levels are completely linear. Sometimes paths will branch out but they will only lead up to dead end and possible ammo pick-ups. The AI is pretty dumb. They aren't too bad at actually hitting you but they seem to be deaf and you will find a lot of patrolling guards that haven't realised that there is an unauthorized person in the area. Sometimes guards just die. There was a few time were I shot a guy about fifteen times with an assault rifle and he was still alive. But for the most part this problem does not happen too often. The game maybe called Conspiracy: Weapons of Mass Destruction but there are only five weapons. A silenced pistol, a assault rifle, a shotgun, a sniper rifle and a rocket launcher. The shotgun, the sniper rifle and the rocket launcher are never even used.
The graphics are pretty impressive. There are occasional clipping problems and looks bland have of the time. The framerate can drop very rarely but the game is incredibly smooth. The Fire Warrior engine has been used again to make it look good.
The sound is pretty good. The voice-acting is average while the gunshots sound great. There is no music in game but the game doesn't really need it.
The main knock against Conspiracy: Weapons of Mass Destruction is that the game is far too short. The game only has five levels. No, your eyes are working properly and there really is five levels. They aren't long and the game will take you about 2-4 hours to complete. Therre is bonus game called Endurance mode. But it won't keep you going for long and there is no multiplayer of any kind. The game can be frustrating, but you will just get through the game like two men and a wee lad.
Conspiracy: Weapons of Mass Destruction should be rented first before buying.
