Conflict: Desert Storm

THE BAD:
~The annoying controls
~Looks a bit dodgy

SUMMARY:
At first I really wanted this game, but I then played it and it is basically your average kind of shooter. The missions will put you out in the middle of the desert in the middle East. The PS2 has lots of these games and is kind of average compared to them.

The game starts you off doin training, which is good because when you get out inot the main missions you are fully prepared and don't have to keep dying because you don't know how to do something. The levels aren't much to look at but some of them are ok. The graphics aren't the best, but hey, they aren't to bad. Though some things look a bit dodgy.

The weapons are really cool, a wide arsenal at your disposal, the other items are very handy for you and your team mates, leke med packs, (you need them, especially on the harder difficulties). Your Team mates carry different weapons each so your all not the same.

Your team mates are prtty helpful, you have your self, and three others. You of course are the Section Leader and is meant to kill the most enemies, then you got your radio man, bombs man, and some other guy who is helpfull. When you are shot down you can call over to your team mates to heal you with a med pack. The AI in the game is at an ok standard.

This game is pretty good and maybe worth your money, however, I suggest you rent before you buy. If your a hardcore fan of these types of war games then I suggest you go to the shops and buy it.

THE BAD:
hard to learn controls
the game is very, very, very hard
the game is kind of short
but that is about it.

SUMMARY:
The graphics are a little choppy but you get used to it. just an overall wonderfull game. But the game is so hard. still a great squad-based action game. for me it is the best game of the year!!! the hardness makes up for the short campaign. it has a perfect array of realistic weapons. and the training is a lot of fun, because there is this sargent guy yelling at you all the time. luckfully he dosent yell in cammpaign mode. two thumbs up as high as they can go!!!

THE BAD:
This game reminds me of first person shooter games when they came out years ago. Really bad aiming system.

SUMMARY:
The graphics are weak. The aiming system sucks. The men move very strange, it does not look natural. Small amount of weapons to choose from. I am very glad I rented it. I think this game seems so bad to me because I have played some very good FPS games.(Medal of honor, SOCOM, Gost Recon)They all blow this game away. The squad play is very sloppy. For good squad action play Tom Clancys Gost Recon. That game has it right. This game also seems to be made for another game system, not Play Station-2 controls. It is very awkward. Don't waste your time. Try another game.

THE BAD:
Aiming system, weapons, very boring, too easy, lame graphics, basically everything else...

SUMMARY:
I found this game to be way too easy and very very boring at the same time. It didn't interest me one bit. I beat it in a few days without almost no effort put forth at all. The aiming system is horribly set-up and I couldn't stand it. The graphics are next to crap because of how lame they are. The characters you control are shaped like small rectangles with a rocket launcher. I wouldn't pay a dime for this game. I'm glad I rented it first because at first glance, the game actually looked to be a descent game.

Overall Outcome: Stay away from this game!

THE BAD:
Some may find it too easy. Also there is no option to drive a forumla 1 car.

SUMMARY:
Conflict desert storm is one of my favorite games that is currently avainible in this genre. It is action packed, extreamnly realistic and beautul graphics..

Some people may find the game a bit too easy ehich i wouldn't say no to but at the same time it is also challenging at times.

THE BAD:

My favourite game i have played yet. I would recommend it to anybody (which i have). I just wish they brought out another one.I rented it out with me m8 and i bought it the day i took it back and so did my m8. Gr8 game buy it!!!!

hey common kuwait doesnt look like that !!! i wonder why they made the houses look like aladden one's and also al-khafji is much different than what is in the game. i dont know why the person who made the tha bulldings didnt have that info. and had all other info about this war.
the iraqi soldiers accent is not iraqi its egyptian

at last a perfect game of the gulf war and liberating my country kuwait the last best gulf war game was on sega 16-bit but this game is more detailed, fun and harder. i hoped that there would be more thinks to take countrol of like holicopters , warships & air planes.
also the iraqi army had atrick to protect his tanks and tachtichal places and its not shown in this game. AFTERALL ITS THE BEST GULF WAR GAME, ITS KOOL BUY IT!!

Could've allowed the player more choice in the weapon dept. Not long or difficult enough.

SUMMARY:
Having said that, I think the game does have a fair element of realism about it, which is pretty mutts nuts. I'd have loved to have been there for real. Yeah, I know, I may have really been KIA 'n' all that, but I would've thoroughly enjoyed kickin' ass in much the same manner as the game allows you to. Love setting ambushes, slotting jundhis,fraggin' anything I felt like and sniping at unsuspecting citizens. To be honest, I did feel a bit bad 'bout killin' those goats. Anyway, the game has a great 3D atmosphere about it and as the creaters say, the ballistics of the ammo seems to be spot on. I did what I always do with the music, turned it off 'cause it makes the game less realistic. Maybe optional Beethoven next time eh? The independent action of the squad members is excellent. Set up your killing ground and let them take care of business giving covering fire while the sapper takes out that tank or road block. The game is good value for money as I think it's one of those games you'll want to play again an' again. Are the creators gonna do one based on the Mogadishu, Somalia conflict? Hope so 'cause I loved this one, yep, the dogs bollocks.
