THE BAD:
- Very limited places to explore
- Most levels are too easy
- Gets quite repetitive
- Not much variety in moves
SUMMARY:
I'll be honest, when I first played the game I wasn't really that impressed. I found it a bit easy and repetitive. I played the first 2 levels and put it in its case and back on the shelf in disappointment. Six months later I gave the game another shot. This time I wasn't disappointed. I actually listened to the story this time and it made me want to play on. The first two levels were easy and rather boring but the story was so good it kept me playing. The levels gradually got better, introducing more monsters and a Legion was received after each level. If this game didn't have legions I would've...
THE BAD:
Its really short.(Only 15 levels I think)The game can be frustratingly hard, and there isnt a whole lotta replay value, only hard and very hard modes.
SUMMARY:
When you saw the title I bet you were thinking"WTF is this guy talking about!?No game can be like all 3 of those!"Well guess what smartass it is. This gamehas these creatures that you summon called Legions. These Legions are used in 3 diffrent ways: one is the summon attack which lets you use them as like a trump card attack when your in a tight situation. For example one of them is a bomb and will explode itself upon enemies. The other way is to have 3-7 clones of the same legion help you fight, they arent as strong as their summon...
THE BAD:
story comes second to gameplay, repetitve
SUMMARY:
GRAPHICS:4.5 The designs are all nice, as are the movements and action sequences, but backgrounds are way too simple and tend to allow for nearly no exploring outside of the set path. MUSIC:3 average, nothing spectacular and none worth mentioning. STORY:2 Is there one? well to say the least it is simple. some sort of revenge quest or something, doesnt matter really.(Similar to DMC in this respect) GAMEPLAY:4.5 I personally found the legion system very fresh and fun. it added a new dimension to the gameplay and is basically the only reason to get this game. OVERALL:4 basically a sequel to DMC it shows you how a good gameplay system can do for a game that has crap music and no story worth mentioning, personally i would have preffered if they hadnt left those things out.
THE BAD:
Story is a bit generic and done before, combat is cheap and repetitive, there isn't any real inspiration to level design, the characters in the game suffer from fashionitis, and it seems to be another DMC clone.
SUMMARY:
When I first played through it, I was wowwed, but I usually am with games that promote hack and slash style gameplay. Same happened with DMC/DMC2, but quickly as the wow effect wore off with replays, I payed more attention to the story and game design, and came to the conclusion that it was a cheap attempt to continue getting rich off the DMC style game setup.
Controls were a bit weird, what with the legions, and though the legion monsters themselves were okay, the Summoner series kicks more arse than they do/look, and the main character Seig, isn't...
THE BAD:
Too few characters, camera.
SUMMARY:
This game is cool! You play as Seig Warheit, a young knight of the dark gylph. You follow your friend, but after being possessed, he turns evil and fights against you to reunite himself with his love Siela. You fight in 15 different levels, and the layout is wonderful. This game is hard, which is a good thing. I give this game an A+ and is on my top 10 list.
THE BAD:
CAMERA ANGLES...
SUMMARY:
This game is a must have if you liked DEVIL MAY CRY PART 1...the graphics are superb!! The story line is pretty cool....The legions are sick!!!...Being able to power them up and make em' more deadly...as they fight on your side. The boss battles are great. So its linear...but most games are. The camera gets skewed now and then...but you can try to control that. I love using the blasphemy legion as deadly kickball mines when im in battle....The battles are action packed and exhillerating. How could it have been better? Well maybe sieg could have different swords or weapons...just to spice it up...but this is pretty much a game worth buying, defintley rent. The points system to upgrade your legions is a bit cheap...kinda' hard to updrade em' all....wish you could switch legions at will..instead of waiting until each save point...that is a bit...
THE BAD:
To have the wrong legion for the wrong kinda monster.
SUMMARY:
okay, heres the thing, I love Chaos legion. I'm no expert cause I guess you could consider me a bit of a kid but that's who most video games were MADE for!(I think so anyways....) ...Continueing. Chaos Legion has to be one of the greatest games I've ever played! It's... a mindless bashing game! Okay, well close anyways. There IS an actual plot to it. I love the bashing of the enemies and watching them fly across the 'arena'. And my legions are strong!
Okay, so some of you say that it's boring. I'm guessing you don't have much patience? No, apparently not. In this game, you DO NOT, I repeat... for your sake.. DO NOT always fall down to your knees, face, whatever, and die. Hello?! Little kid talking here, and out of all...
THE BAD:
The one thing i first disliked about Chaos Legion, were the levels. They are absolutely boring... no interaction with any elements, no adventure - nothing. The point of each level, is to simply kill each and every enemy. Once completed, a gate of some sort is always unlocked, allowing you to continue the next...
THE BAD:
VERY repetitive. Like I said, it has a good battle system... but after you use it fifty times in the first stage, it makes you groan. I was about to throw up after stage three. It gets too old too fast. Aside from fighting... you can always fight... and there are points where you get to fight as well... and hey, if you're sick of fighting you can always.... fight....
SUMMARY:
I really enjoy the graphics and the music. The weapon upgrades are good too, and the leigions kick ass. BUT I'd like to do a bit more than.... fight over and over and over and over and over and over.... (continues trailing)
THE BAD:
- not half as good as devil may cry.
- Combat is REALLY repetitive.
-Most of the combat feels like a waste of time.
- the chick sucks.
- Very poor level design.
-Lack of control fredom.
-Abysmal story
- A three hit combo is all I can do!?
- easy.....really easy.
SUMMARY:
I was hyped about this game, I really was. After playing the amazing devil may cry (another capcom game), i was sure this one would be awesome....but it's kind of like devil may cry.....only not half as good.
Chaos legion's empahisis is on fast non stop action. and that's exactly waht the game is....non-stop repetitive action. The combat get's hidiously boring after about ten minutes. Usually, the enemies are being controled by on main enemy. Once you realize that, you'll also realize that fighting...
