Castlevania: Lament of Innocence

THE BAD:
-tutorial somewhat hard to find and not very good
-can't manually control camera angles
-storyline is a bit slow at times
-short game

SUMMARY:
This is the first Castlevania game I've played, and so far I'm impressed with it. You play as Leon Belmont, a noble who is part of a company of knights that is undefeated. In recent times, his partner became very ill following his wife's death, and his lands have become overridden with monsters. His betrothed, Sara, is kidnapped, and Leon goes on a quest to save her. Leon's partner tells him that she was taken to a castle in the Forest of Eternal Night. THE BAD:
some monsters are extremely hard to fight and really strong

THE BAD:
Parts of the story, and gameplay design although fun, doesn't give you the presence of an evil castle, such is Castlevania, that you would expect from the first next gen' console viewing of CV in 3d, but it's okay for a first try.

SUMMARY:
This story goes back to the beginning, in what seems to be a complete fresh restart of the entire CV game series. (so Sonia Belmont, bye bye beautiful)

Anyhow, you play as Leon Belmon, the originator of the Belmont vampire slayin' Clan. You are a Baron Knight in the crusades, when all of a sudden your lady love gets kidnapped by an evil force. Since the church doesn't want to spare your strength to save some girl, you decide to throw down your holy status and go rogue, right into the heart...of...

THE BAD:
Controls, camera, few chessy lines.

SUMMARY:
This game is great fun for just about everyone, the overall story line is very good and everything gets tied together. The game is just beautiful in itself, the graphics make you feel like your in a real castle and the music is intoxicating and blends well. The controls are nice in that they are Real Time. You have to manually open up a small window and scroll around to find the object you want to use and then use it. I loved this type of feature, it brings reality to the game since there is no pausing and useing an item, here you have to buy yourself some time if you want to use that healing potion, its a nice addition. The sub weapons are the same from most of the other games, but a nice magic orb combined with the current sub weapon gives some vary nice results, in the end it comes to 8 different ways...

THE BAD:
Ocassional camera problems and a little short but thats it.

SUMMARY:
Since Castlevania's humble begginigs,it was considered one of the greatst games out there and is now a classic.When it whent to the N64 in 3D it made a mockery of Konami.After that everyone gulped on the announcement of Lament of Innocence because of the piece of crap the N64 game was.Yet this is without a shout of a doubt at least top 5 best Castlevania game.If you have played ps1's Castlevania Symphony of the Night then youl be right at home.In the game you get armors like in SOTN but not weopons.You get diffrent whips instead of swords.You also get items like potions,high potions ect.to give it a rpg-ish feel.On your journey you will find(and buy)relics.Relics...
