Baroque is set in a world that's been obliterated by a cataclysmic event, which has managed to distort the world and the laws of nature. As a result, the survivors found themselves split into various groups. The majority of the survivors found themselves within two classes in this new world: Baroques and Meta-Beings. Baroques are people who are warped by their own ideas and delusional perceptions (which have become known as Baroques) but are able to function somewhat normally. On the other hand, Meta-Beings are former humans that have completely succumbed to their "Baroques," turning into monstrous creatures that are reflections of their inner desires. As you can guess, life in this strange and demented world is harsh and difficult."
