worth the money..got mine off ebay for 18.04. this game is diff worth it if u like blood HARDKORE items..i mean dang we got a barbwire baseball bat and we can set a mattress on fire!! imo 2nd best wrestling game ever..once u play this u dont wanna play hctp no more!

Blood, carnage, wrestling.

THE BAD:
It costs $50.

SUMMARY:
This game seemed to have a lot of potential. This game could have completely remade the wrestling game genera similar to the way Def Jam Vendetta did. This could have been the start of a whole new line of carnage laced wrestling games completely devoid of reality, but this game just completely fell on it's face. The real reason I wanted to get this game was to create Eminem in create a wrestler mode and kick the tar out of ICP, but you can't get anywhere close to that. Even when your fighting and your advisary is nearly knocked out, he's still running around like nothing has happened, the only way you can tell he took damage is the fountain of blood on his face.
This game needed to take six months and COMPLETELY rehash EVERYTHING. If WCW had not put out WCW/nWo Thunder for the PSX, this would be the worst wrestling game I have ever played.

THE GOOD:
-The opponent bleeds like hell when you cause a lot of damage
-32 Hardcore Wrestlers
-6 Modes to play in
-Landscape is your weapon
-people in each stage attack your opponent
-Lots of various weapons-Nail bat, Barbed wire bat, tires, Etc.

THE BAD:
-Controls are hard to understand
-CAW only lets you choose only 1-15 Wrestlers, with 12 different clothes

SUMMARY:
BYW is a game any harcore wrestling fan will love, you get to wrestle in 4 stages-Gentleman Club, Truck stop Terminal, Slaughter house, & Backyard. The controls are hard to understand at first but you get used to them, you get to use a wide selection of weapons-Tires, Laders, 2 By 4's, Nail bat, Barbwired bat, garbage can, Etc.You get a large selection of 32 wrestler's to choose from and unlock. CAW (Create-A-Wrestler) lets you create your own wrestler, the CAW feature only has 15 skins, & 12 different clothes for each character to choose from. THE GOOD:
All the weapons and interactive scenery, and all the hardcore indi wrestlers!!!

THE BAD:
You opponent runs around like a crazy sum-b!tch, tryin to hit you and gets real aggravating.

SUMMARY:
This is the kind of game you talk about with your buddies but really don't think any game company would make. Well Eidos felt the same way and have had Backyard Wrestling in mind for awhile. From wrestlers straight outta JCW to other greats like Josh Prohibition, MDogg 20, Mad Man Pondo, and Sabu. And of course the owners of JCW ICP members Violent J. and Shaggy 2 Dope. Take control of any chosen wreslters and beat the living hell outta your opponent with numerous objects way to many to mention.
Though the good out weight the bad big time the bad is still worth mention. The controls were a little edgey at first but after a few matches you'll be fighting like a real hardcore icon, the thing that will get you really upset is the fact that the AI isn't all that smart most of your matches you'll...
