SUMMARY:
I just loved this game a lot. What brought my attention to this game was of course people talking about how gory and disturbing it is. They were right. I just loved how disturbing it was; the graphics really kept me hooked. The story was also really good. If you are a fan of survival horror, you need to get this game if you haven't already. The only thing that could have been better was the enemy A.I. (artificial intelligence) You can pretty much avoid conflict altogether most of the time, except during boss fights, of course. I guess some people might like this. There were also many easter eggs and different costumes, and weopons to unlock. I just had to go through the game again to get a better rating!

The games new features include:
A new main 'Female' character, series graphics, much better surround sound adjustment, frightening new enviorments icluding "Amusement park", "Subway Station", and a "Shopping mall". Battle gotesque new monsters, new weapons have also been added to the game including a Katana, sub machine gun and once you've completed the gaem, a new option to put in codes for different outfits, over 20 oufits are added. The game even includes a 60 minute soundtrack!

I would call this game the best SH title.it is definetely the best in terms of horrific visuals and oppressive atmosphere,and it is the best in terms of storyline and,well,sense(in fact it is the only SH game that has real sense(I know many people would disagree with this)).

well,shortly about main aspects:

STORYLINE: very impressive,especially if you played the first SH.in fact it is a sequel to the first SH title.by the way,this is the first SH game with a female main character.

GAMEPLAY: it is actually the best of all SH titles.the real,old-school survival horror.minimum amount of supplies & ammo,maximum amount of merciless monsters at every step.not a second to rest(well,only during cut scenes).this SH title is indeed concentrated much on gameplay,not less than on storyline.

After playing through Silent Hill 2, a sequel that would outmatch the enjoyment I've experienced with the game, almost seemed impossible... until I picked up Konami's latest survival horror title, Silent Hill 3. It's not often I give a game a score of 9 (very very rare for that matter). I was able to dive right into this game, and the further I got into it, the more I hoped it would never end.

GRAPHICS - 10

The eye candy in Silent Hill 2 was delightful in almost every aspect. Silent Hill 3 takes that experience and pushes it even farther. The lighting effects, high resolution texture detail, and even the animation of the in game, and cutscene sequences are all breathtaking. You'll be amazed by some of these facial expressions used in the cutscenes. Again, we are treated to the grainy gritty nightmarish environments that WILL definitely disturb you now, if they havn't before. There have been a few complaints about the lack of monster types in the previous Silent Hill...

SUMMARY:
This game is scarier than any film or game, it's a complete psycho!!! but is not as scary as the first 2 games mainly becaues of the bad storyline. Silent hill 2 had a great story and was not related with silent hill 1 or 3. Silent hill 3 is just to holy.
Th main character never acts scared but if you were in her situation you would go crazy! She roams around as if nothing is wrong. Another bad thing is that you are not in silent hill till the last part of the game!
It's just not got the atmoshphere of SH2. Silent hill 2 was perfect in every way! The gameplay graphics of Silent hill 3 have been improved since Silent hill 2 but the expressions on there faces are not as good also the video graphics (FMV Cut scenes) are no where near as good as Silent Hill 2! To sum it up:

Game play - is ok but really good
music - is awesome in many ways and can give you the chills when you play it alone in the dark.
Characters - give the story a real sense of suspense like is she good or bad and things like that.
but to put everything short terms everything about it is Perfect.

THE BAD:
There is nothing bad about it

SUMMARY:
This game is a must play. If you are in to horror like Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, etc. then you are going to love this game. Everything about it is perfect there is no bugs or bad graphics in it but just pure perfection. The game is really not that hard but just the story line and the graphics will get you hooked. I may have not played the first one but the second one was good but it is nothing compared to the third one.

THE GOOD:
Silent Hill 3 is one amazing game. First off don't even consider playing Silent Hill 3 without playing Silent Hill 1, because as any SH fan knows these games are story driven and you wouldn't understand a thing otherwise. Besides, Silent Hill 1 is great and you can go out and buy it right now for about 10 bucks!

Storyline-
The story is griping and the characters make the game what it is, a horrific psychological horror game. I can't really say much more about the story except that it's perfect in every way and it ties up all the loose ends and makes the events in Silent Hill 1 much more clear.

Graphics-
The visuals are one huge step up from Silent Hill 2, the textures are superb and the dynamic lighting is amazing. The character models will blow you away with their realistic facial expressions. Konami even did all of the cut scenes, including the final one, using the in-game engine. I think that's proof of just how amazing this...

This series will always be a personal favorite of mine. Silent Hill 1 was the first great horror game that I played on the PS1. Sure I played other horror games on PS1 like Resident Evil, Parasite Eve, Fear Effect, etc. But this series has the scare behind the horror and makes the game perfect for me to play.

From the first game, to the second title, and ending with this game, the Silent Hill series is pure greatness in my opinion. They have the gore, the creepy environments, the truly unique and bizarre creatures, the great plot of the story. There isn't anything wrong with the series that I can find.

Any fan of horror games has to have this series in their collection. I don't know what I would do without a Silent Hill title to play. And later this year (2004), we will be blessed with another title in the series. I know that it will be great, and I won't be disappointed. I hope this series goes into the double digits in the next decade.

i love horror games and silent hill 3 is definately one of them . After Silent hill 2, silent hill 3 was really needed!! the game play is not as easy as others may tell you ,it has some parts that will try to drive you crazy. it may be a little short but well worth it. the sound track keeps you in to the game and the graphics are great alot better tan most horror games. some of the puzzles are a pain in the butt sometimes but at the same time some puzzles are very easy. this game should please all who are in to the series. over all silent hill 3 is the best in the series (so far)i hope more horror games as good as this ( or better) are countinued to be produced for those of us who love to be scared!!!!
