Well I can say the game misses on the realism factor and the balance of forces, but it is still more exciting than Close Combat.
I have played many a war game, and I have games listing from the purly historic (Talonsofts Front series) to the totaly science ficton (Emporor Battle for Dune) to the quite absurd (Serious Sam.) These games are either way to detailed or way to easy, and in some cases the moderate is enough to surfice. The Sudden Strike series is the perfect medium for the genera. After all, I may not be the Grognard of wargaming, but I have read books and played games enough to know that their is a limit to realism and a game will not ever reach that level. I don't want to point fingers at my fellow critics, but those of you out there that don't bother to give this game or others more than a fat chip off o...
I should have bought Command and Conquer
I found this very dissapointing, basically you fork out $100 for a world war II version of command and conquer without the build options, granted its tougher than C&C and others of the same genre but I strongly reccommend try before you buy.
