What They Say:

"This isn't to say that StarCraft doesn't have its disappointments. The first letdown that will strike you is the old-school terrain. Although beautifully rendered, this is strictly 2D terrain with a vertical level or two thrown in. After the new standards set by Dark Reign and Total Annihilation, it's a bit of a disappointment to have to play across terrain you could find in Krush, Kill 'N' Destroy. And although many of the elements of SC go together extremely well, the game should have just stuck to planet-based combat. Most of the space-based action--which takes place aboard space platforms--just comes off as cheesy and contrived."
"StarCraft definitely ranks at the top of the heap for games in its class. The cinematic animations are outstanding, dramatic and funny. Even the voice-over acting is really good. Multiplayer games are fast and furious, though it can take a while to get used to how alliances and teaming works."
