THE GOOD:
Good mix of RPG and FPS elements.
Dark, kinda frightening atmosphere.THE BAD:
It doesn't work with ATI Rage IIC video cards. SUMMARY:
I love this game. Even though I only played it for a short time, it scared me. Whether it was the dark environments, or just the way the stages were set up, it was fightening at times. The music made it even more frightening. I love how you can be one of three different characters with different training paths each time you play. I don't really know which character I liked the best, but one thing I do know, the game is a keeper(And I got mine for cheap)... |

THE GOOD:
Scary, uhhh scary... Seriously, I've played Doom, Descent, Aliens vs Predator in the complete dark, yet this game outdoes all these in the day. Pretty graphics. Easy interface. Cheat codes for wusses like me. Awesome storyline. Environment, sounds really ummm... fearful. Cheap game, only $15 bucks. Immersive.THE BAD:
Scary, so scary I can't finish this game even with the cheats. But then again this is a good thing... Nothing much else wrong with this game... SUMMARY:
Start the game.
Pick your abilities, and go into the ship. Fulfill your mission, and win the game. Sounds easy? I don't think so. First you gotta find guns, pickup psychic abilities points that you can purchase, it's insane. it's macro/micro management to the max. This is hardcore RPG with FPS elements!
Very immersive. You get sucked into the game like if you were that dude you created from scratch. But you tend to use your brain more than your fighting skills. But then again, you need your fighting skills because of them monkeys and zombies and giant robots.
Oh yeah, while you do all this, try, JUST TRY NOT TO TRIP THE SILENT ALARM. If you get lucky you'll get to hack into the security systems to take security offline for like 230 secs... and counting down... helpful really helpful. OH yeah, try to destroy the cameras on your way. Try not to make too much noise. and Try to have good aimed shots with your weapons because you'll run out of ammo.
Very immersive. Amazing, a perfect sequel to the original System Shock. I didn't think you could/should make a sequel, but I was wrong. Buy this game, it's so cheap, and it's so good. |

THE GOOD:
Excellent ambientation, good genre blend, compelling storyline.THE BAD:
Little replay value. SUMMARY:
Shodan, an artificial intelligence gone mad. Defeated by a master hacker years ago has returned. She has taken control of the ship in which you were travelling. The things get complicated when an alien race invades the ship. The story follows an interesting and mysterious path until its conclusion, in a weird environment. With excellent graphics and outstanding sound (you need the sound to know you are being attacked from behind) this game is a perfect mix between action and RPG. Fans of both genres will be pleased with the outcome. Buy it straight away... |
