THE GOOD:
more in depth career mode. cool sandbox mode. the whole, move the camera all around sims 2 style is awesome. and finally, you'll spend a lot of time having fun building big roller coasters.THE BAD:
becuase of the picuture based interface, sometimes it is hard to find out how to do something. and the biggest thing is, at least for me, it doesn't have the lasting appeal a lot of simulators have. SUMMARY:
if you really liked the first or second one, then you will probably get some fun out of this edition. but new fans mite want to rent it or play it at a friends first. the sandbox mode is awesome because it is basically a mode with unlimited money. you can build a thousand coasters in a park without having to wait for your guest to pay you! the career mode is much more deep. the graphics are much better than the 2nd, but i keep comparing it to the sim 2 where the lighting and character details are amazing. there are little details in the graphics of rct3 but some of the 3D guest are just so choppy! the major thing is, for me, i got this game 4 months ago and i havn't played it for over 5 hours. every one and a while i feel like working on my park but i never got into the game as much as i did the first two. the best thing to say about this game is try it before you buy it. |

THE GOOD:
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 has excellent new options - a major improvement from the two previous games. With the new features of fireworks, day/night, and more realistic people, it makes the game so much more fun and interesting to play.THE BAD:
Although RCT3 is a great game, you have to have a top-of-the-line PC and Graphic Card to play the game to it's full ability and speed. If you have a slow PC, the game will run really slow. If you have a bad graphic card, then everything in the game will look horrible. SUMMARY:
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is the best of the trilogy of games - it gives you the most freedom, more options, more rides, more scenarios, and more landscape structures. If this game took less to run, and could run on worse graphic cards, the game would be, in my opinion, perfect in every way. |
