THE BAD:
You might get dangerously addicted to Rise of Nations after playing it.
SUMMARY:
This game utilizes strategic tools, other games haven't. Attrition and national borders cause you to develop strategies which you would never use in other games. This game is both suitable for people who enjoy action filled real-time strategies, while still appealing to some hardcore pure strategy gamers out there. There is also an excellent balance of difficulty levels starting from which a first time gamer can win all the way up to a level of difficulty that even after years of playing, would be very difficult to beat. Rise of Nations also has a high replayability value, so you are sure to whittle away hundreds of hours playing it.
