What They Say:

"Rayman 2 is quite simply the best platform game I have ever played. There is nothing completely novel here, but everything is so well done that the developers have clearly breathed new life into a rather stagnant genre. The only significant limitations, revolving around interface decisions concerning control settings and save game possibilities, do not dampen my unbridled enthusiasm. I therefore give it a Reviewer's Choice award without reservation."

"Ubi Soft's greatest escape may be from the shortcomings so often seen in this genre, as they have combined stunning graphics, an excellent musical score, enchanting gameplay and really interesting characters to make Rayman 2: The Great Escape a sure hit."

"it's fun, pretty, long, challenging, and VERY entertaining. I can't help but recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a good game. It does everything a sequel should, and everything a great game should as well. It improves and continues upon the original game while not tweaking the core gameplay too much. I can't recommend the game enough, go out and buy it…NOW…"
"Rayman 2: The Great Escape is a twitch fanatic's delight. If you salivate over console hits featuring Donkey Kong, Mario, or Banjo-Kazooie, Rayman 2 will fulfill your needs nicely. However, if just the thought of gathering 1,000 glowing "Lums" makes your fingers ache, give our little limbless friend a wide berth."

"The most amazing thing about Rayman 2, however, is its ability to invoke emotion in the player. Dare I say I became distressed when Rayman was about to die or when the Glowbox children cried over their captured father? I spent four hours trying to help the little blue frog thingies, and I felt pretty damn good about it afterwards. Rayman 2 manages to pull you into its adventure, and keeps you engaged until the end--and you won't even be ashamed to admit it afterwards."
