This is perhaps one of the funniest and probably only space station simulation game I have ever played.
Basically your incharge of running a space station, they are donut shaped and you and your robots and other cargo build energy collectors and stuff to collect more power to buy stuff.
Once you have your main stuff set up, food places, toilets, berths, you make a port which allows an assortment of different races to visit your station. They all use your stuff and the best part is you can zoom around and get level with them and follow anybody around watching them use the stuff you built!
Eventually you get different levels, like the pleasure deck, where when traders come by you can purchase pleasure items like a casino, disco, bar, and other stuff. It is fun building bars as you build the basic room and then set up what it looks like inside, like chairs, tables, plants.
The other deck is the bio-deck where you can harvest food to grow and sell. It has terrian forming features to make your own land perfect for growing crops.
You can hire all the different races who do different jobs depending on their race. The Roswell aliens for example are really excellent doctorsfor your hospitals.
Overall this game is very enteirtaining and the music is really cool and mission mode is pretty sweet and provides a good challenge. I didn't give this a 5.0 because it does have the tendancy to glitch out and freeze losing your space station empire you have built. |

THE GOOD:
This gane is really good because its challenging if you want it to be and it has got some really good graphics.THE BAD:
The guide you get with it isnt that much help in my opinion. SUMMARY:
I like most of the different species of alien in the game, the Karmarama (dunno how to spell it) and the Grekka targs. The bio-deck is probably my favourite floor cuz you can create some really cool landscapes.

THE GOOD:
Well, the game has some great points to it..like the whole hiring people and promoting them...the missions have good concepts and the whole outer space thing is cool to..THE BAD:
Well like someone else said..the LOADING is way to slow you could cook a full course meal by the time it loads..and the battles are good, but are kinda confusing... SUMMARY:
Well, the game is overall a good game..the people that made it could have made it better. But it has its downpoints..i really really think it should be improved on the speed..i also don't really like (well i like it but i don't use it) the party level or whatever..lol..well if anyone has some hints on any misssion after mission 7 e-mail me |

THE GOOD:
Wide varity of races with a simple setup to control them.Easy to learn platform to this game.THE BAD:
Take a Shower or eat breakfast during the load time.

Its the best Strategy Game on the market for its ease of use , and great 3d. Highly recomended for all users who even in the least bit like Strategy Pc games. With a light and humorous story line and caracters , Startopia gives users a good break from the usual

THE GOOD:
Best of the Sim Theme Park and Theme Hospital games.
Good management system.
Excellent 3D and good camera control.
Hilarious aliens that add new twists to the management scenarios.
Play pre-built scenarios or in Sandbox mode where you just do what you want (my favorite).THE BAD:
Not a fast learning curve. You can play through several levels and still not feel you have mastered the game play. The tutorials aren't comprehensive enough. In my opinion, the game needed at least twice as many tutorials. SUMMARY:
This is a very entertaining game. Imagine the best ideas from Theme Hospital and Sim Theme Park wrapped into a full 3D space station development and management game. There's tons of things to build and manage. Sometimes I enjoy just watching the alien interactions. The humor is great, i.e., 'Siren' aliens that you put to work in the pleasure areas - that come from the planet 'Phallos' and are always looking for the next 'big bang'. Or the 'tree hugger' aliens that come from planet 'Bongo' and look chronically stoned. Although this game is very expansive, I find myself focusing in on just a few things with each level - which gives me time for watching as well as playing. There's not enough tutorials but the concepts are easy to learn.
