Roundups and Shootouts

Flight Simulator 2000 Vs Flight Unlimited - Gamers Depot
"After spending hours with these two games, comparing them side-to-side. It's very difficult to make a decision between the two. I'd say the two companies need to put their little creative heads together and create the most badass flight sim ever. If you are the hard core flight sim pilot…go out and buy Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2000, but for the weekend pilot that enjoys a good crash…Flight Unlimited 3 has everything you need to enjoy your flight."

"I've enjoyed my time spent with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 Professional Edition and feel it is a worthy successor. I would have liked them to have added photo-realistic terrain, and I think a new engine is in order, but overall, the features and flight models correspond to how the game looks and feels. There's a definite reason to go with the professional edition as it offers a lot more value for little extra cost. This is a great title for experts and novices alike, and has enough depth within its terrain to last a lifetime."

"You'll likely want to pick up Flight Unlimited III or Fly! in addition to this sim, just to experience dealing with ATC and other planes in the pattern. But this is the most dramatic update to this series since it went color with Flight Simulator II, so if you have the horsepower, don't miss it."

"Very detailed, very realistic. Graphics have been much improved since the last version but still don't compare with some of the more limited sims on the market. If you're interested in more than just civilian aircraft without all the minute detail of a limited-area sim, this is a great title."

"For the casual gamer I would find it hard to recommend FS2K - you can only dive-bomb the Vatican so many times before it gets boring. And the high system spec required to run this game makes it even less enjoyable."
"A great Simulator! But personally I never really liked Flight Simulators. But this one captured my attention."
