What can I say but WOW! I have played the heck out of the original MCM. When I got the chance to try the demo of MCM2 I figured, what the heck, let’s see if they were able to do any better. BOY DID THEY! The demo blew my socks off. I rushed right out and put a retainer on the soon to be released full version, and waited impatiently while I played the demo to death. The full version was every bit as good and more. Now you have real life objects and obstacles to contend with. And the sound! My brother rides in real life while my uncoordinated but has to do it on the PC. I brought him over and he was hooked. He said it sounded just like the real thing. I guess it should, They taped microphones to riders to get the WAV files. So from one non-rider but a game enthusiast, and a rider but generally non-gamer, we both give hardy thumbs up. Get it, ride it, live it, LOVE IT!
I didn't stop playing this game for days. I absolutely love it and I don't usually go for racing games. With all the different types or racing and cycles plus being able to change the difficulty of the comp it can give you a real challenge and that is where my only complaint lays the computer ai is on the weak side in under a day i totally dominated the comp on stunts (my favorite) on hard and then I went online and got my butt kicked.
This game is a blast. Its got one of those arcade physics engines- you know the kind thats not realistic but is a ton of fun. Its an absolute joy to just ride around and do jumps and tricks. I spent the first two hours exploring the stunt tracks. When I started to get a little bored with that, I tried some racing. I proceeded to spend another three racing against computer opponents in Enduro mode. I played normal difficulty and it was perfect, the opponents were not too easy and not too tough. All in all this game is a lot of fun. Ahh. Good times...
If you enjoyed the first Motocross Madness, then you are going to love the sequel. With the improvements to the options making it a game that will played more than once becuase you can change the track conditions. well worth it!!
