MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries

THE GOOD:
Excellent game. Graphics and gameplay are as good as I expected from the Mech4 line of games. That 2nd lance is very helpful and the AI (lancemates and opponents) is very well done. Don't know if they improved the AI from Vengence/Black Knight to Mercs, but it seems better.

THE BAD:
Game was a tad bit too short. Very linear in 'plot' progression. Need more open contracts like Mech2Mercs had. Wish it had some BS go here do this contracts for after the main 'quest' is done. Also, fighting Nondi Steiner at the end (if you take that path) was too easy. Would expect at least a regiment on Tharkad.

SUMMARY:
"The Bad" is just my viewpoint of the differences between Mech2Mercs and Mech4Mercs, they do not make the game bad, it just could have been better. As an avid collector of B-Tech/Mechwarrior games of all types (tabletop through PC and on to Console) I am very happy with this game.

btw- Rotary AC 5's ROCK! Slap a few of those...

THE GOOD:
Excellent gameplay, and the AI is actually kinda challenging. Not to mention you face a lot worse odds than any Merc in his right mind would actually take, but that's what makes it challenging.

THE BAD:
no sensitivity for the Z axis

SUMMARY:
I have loved the Mech series and I play the board and RPG games, so I am very much biased. Network play is easy, even on the internet.
