THE GOOD:
- The best Lord of the Rings game on the market.
- Can fight as any of the four sides good( Gondor and Rohan) or Evil ( Mordor and Isengard).
- Use your strategic advantages available with the detailed 3D view of Middle Earth.
- Great range of different life forms.
- You can choose which areas to take control of next.
- Fight throught the battles of the film including the major ones of Helm's Deep and the battle in the pelannor feilds.
- Use all of the characters in the fellowship, each one with their own special abilties.
- You can be down to your last few soldiers but still some how manage to gain victory.
- Spend points to buy special powers such as the ability to summon the army of the dead or the eagles or even the balrog.

SUMMARY:
The best lord of the rings game out. it brings the battle for middle earth to life as you struggle for the side you control.

THE GOOD:
-rts auto-maticly makes it good
-great battles that are fun
-stay with movie design
-every units is different
-armies are different in every way~rohan~gondor~mordor~isengard
-a.i. is very good
-online enabled for free

THE BAD:
-isengard(could of beeen a hundred times better)
-fellowship kinda dumb
-cant replay levels
-creatures have command issues
-heroes are to strong
-to little of command piont it could use more toward army building

SUMMARY:
great game.definitly a own game.espiecally if you like lotr.but you dont have.game controls are good.you go thourgh the the epic stories of the three movies in one game.heroes are to strong and creatures suck but thats it otherwise the game rocks.only buy it if you like rts.but if you dont like lotrs it doesnt matter the game is good for a rts.

THE GOOD:
- Multiplayer
- Campaign
- The awesome heroes with super powers
- The back story

THE BAD:
- The basic camera mode
- Not as good graphics as Rome: Total War
- Not enough time spent perfecting the game

SUMMARY:
On face value this is just yet another attempt to capitalize upon the massive success and popularity of the Lord of the Rings films. This game does not have the amazing camera available in Rome: Total War, and while it advertises itself as having massive troop numbers, the command limit to this game is incredibly small. However, to judge this game on face value would be to miss out on the endless entertainment this game can deliver.

While the game seems weak, the power of the story carries this game to an entertainment level that Rome fails to provide. The brilliant heroes, the endless capability for modifications and the brilliant Campaign and Multi-player make this game a must for any Lord of the Rings fan.
