THE BAD:
Slow pace may turn some off.
SUMMARY:
I am really enjoying this game, especially since I purchased a new force feedback joystick the same day. Graphics are A++ and the gameplay is fun and more involved than your average space sim. Edge of Chaos is of a slow pace when compared to other games because theres a lot of flying from system to system, often over extremely long distances. If your patient or you like that sort of slower pace and the ability to make your own decisions once you actually arrive then my guess is that you'll be happy. I was also hoping for a bit more complexity in the form of being able to enter the atmospheres of planets, as well as being able to tinker with the engineering of the ships a bit more. Im not complaining though, what is in the game is enough and its fun.
THE BAD:
Overall, there is less control of the ship in this game than in the previous game.

(I loved seeing all the damaged systems blinking in red on the old game's master diagram). And where is the heads-up damage indicator? That "HULL DAMAGE: 40%" HUD flash sucks.
Do I have to go to the ENG menu to set my TRI? (by moving those sliders! Ugh!) Remember how you co...
