Awesome Expansion | 4.1 0 comments |

THE GOOD: The expansion takes you further into the icy depth of the Spine of the World. A place few souls on Fae'run have ever visited, and a place where even fewer live. The graphics, sound and gameplay are much improved in the expansion. Also watch out for hordes of undead (as if the scads in the original wasn't enough). There's quite a few extra hours of gameplay here, which gives you a good chance to boost your character up to high levels. I also want to add that there are some very cool weapons available in lonleywood if you look in the right places.THE BAD: Not much bad really. I guess the only "problem" is that people that have downloaded the extra expansion, Trials of the Luremaster, are a bit confused on when you get to play it. For those reading this review, you need to go to the inn in Lonleywood and talk to Stubbletoes before going to the sea of moving ice.....Trials does not kick in after HOW. SUMMARY: Just one last note.........Heart of WInter is TOUGH! The undead enemies are brutal, and if you plan on starting a new HOW game without having characters to import from IWD, think again. |
